Dirt is done. Below are the original MineCraft Enhanced, MCE with rocks recolored and MCE + rocks with a selective brightness/contrast change, respectively. Also, I added the original for comparison.
Nice little detail done there. I use MCE exclusively, but I think I'll use your corrected dirt.
I have to say, I normally don't comment on texture packs, but I felt like one of my first posts here should be on this one.
This texture pack, to put it simply, is AMAZING. Like, I used Faithful forever, but it wasn't very... high quality in it's 32x32 form. However, this texture pack gives quite a bit of a definition difference between default and 32x32. To the point I switched back to Default to see how something I built looked with the original textures and my eyes hurt.
Hoping you guys continue to update this with every patch as this has become my new favorite minecraft-related texture pack.
My only issue: Is it intended to be so hard to tell the difference between Ferns and some forms of regular grass? And is there any chance you'd consider adding some extras to downloads like a clear glass texture? The streaks get really annoying with connected textures. xD
Also based on my assessment of amount of downloads and overall preference of quality I have added a 96x version of the pack, I feel like 64x to 128x is a huge jump in quality and memory and that something in between was really needed at this point.
I'm seeking feedback on the 96x version, please report any bugs or anything that seems like it's wrong.
I'm curious if it helped people that were having issues with running the 128x+ versions.
With the massive ballooning of the size of the pack in the last 3 releases I really felt like more size options were necessary. I may end up adding a 192x version as well to give us another step in between the 128x and 256 because the difference in those isn't huge visually but impacts the memory usage and performance by a huge amount.
I haven't had a lot of feedback yet since the update, and I'm taking that as no news is good news.
I will try to get the updates closer together, the 1.5.2 version was pretty much done and then the snapshot with horses dropped, and I felt compelled to work on those and get those and they ended up being a lot more work than I expected because of the massive amount of varieties mojang added.
At some point I will be releasing a supplemental ctm Addon, that will take advantage of Biome CTM options.
I love this CTM option but I feel like it just changes the feeling of minecraft way way too much.
I played around with it and made it so there were leaves on the ground in forest biomes, and stuff like that, and while it looks really neat, it doesn't look like vanilla minecraft.
This texture addon is going to be worked on separately from the rest of the pack, and will be released some time this summer. I plan on doing a lot with this namely it will most likely feature the translucent glass that most of the packs are using now, and has been requested for this pack multiple times but I just can't do it without breaking the minecraft feel.

"Minecraft Enhanced Plus" coming this summer, with translucent glass and biome texture support.
I took the 256x pack, deleted the CTM, mobs, and armor textures, replaced the items textures with the ones from the 32x, and mine runs just fine most of the time (with a little hiccup now and then if I travel to a massively-different area and it has to swap in/out of VRAM a bit). My graphics card is good, but when I bought it, I didn't realize how important VRAM amount and speed and bus width would mean, and I opted for more graphical-processing power. Next time I replace the card, I know better.
I could not imagine playing Minecraft without this pack. Any time I have to momentarily switch back to the vanilla textures, the crudeness of the world just slaps me in the face. NES games looked good because people used the hardware available to its best advantage: Minecraft 16x textures look worse than the Kirby NES game.
Edit: Major performance issues with 96x. I've got a lower end pc but 128x runs much much smoother than 96x, not to mention I've heard issues about packs like that, inbetween 2x resolutions. There was someone who made a 48x faithful that had a similar problem and a lot of people saying that they don't work because of the rendering of them.
Any form of brick or thin-lined blocks look strange in hand in this pack, like it needs some hardcore AA. 96x moss looks broken, and maybe smoothstone.
32x is very good performance-wise. I'm not too sure on the 32x iron and gold/emerald ore. The iron ore is kinda..pinkish? I'm colorblind with blue hues (purple looks bluish, lighter blues look gray, etc), so I don't think it's causing that to look off.
The gold/emerald look way too similar, the only major difference is that emerald has fewer spots. I suggest making both of these look more rich in color, just a little bit. As for the iron, I don't know what to say besides it looks off in color.
I've also noticed cobwebs look WAY too solid as a block compared to the held item. They're almost completely white in the center, yet the held item is very nice (only looked in 32x32).
Endermen are not 32x32 textured, not sure if the pack is finished? I don't remember.
Bonemeal looks like a starfish (total crap). Lilypads lack an outline or something, they look really..dull? I don't know.
I've yet to try the 64x64 but I suspect there's going to be a performance issue with it, given the 96x and 128x. No feedback regarding 128x128 since I probably won't use it (lower end pc).
Enjoy, it looks really good so far minus my nitpicky stuff (font looks damn close to the R3d.Craft font, by the way). Seriously though, fix the cobwebs, lilypads and the bonemeal (pretty please?), those are bad . Looking forward to using this I think.
Hope the ender dragon looks ok (if it's finished)!
Edit2: Highly highly recommend you drop the 96x96, it's not anything special at all and all I noticed was really horrible frames coming from it (7-11fps compared to uhm..17-26 with 128x128 on a really bad pc).
I'll also throw in that the bedrock texture in at least the 32x32 is broken with connected textures on. Could be optifine, not sure. I'll get back to you on that later, I guess.
I think you shouldn't do the 96x version anymore. That will give you more time to work on the others.
I use batch scripts to resize it makes virtually no difference in time, doing them 1 by 1 would take forever, that's the only reason there is even a 32x version.
The old way pre 1.5 was terrible because you couldn't resize the whole palette with filtering without ruining the edges of blocks causing bleeding into the next tile. So having different resolution packs was a pain having to assemble the palettes.
Now it's super easy because you can just do batch resizes of individual tiles.
And to respond to the other guy that was saying 96x doesn't work, that has also changed with 1.5 texture format.
The way it used to work was minecraft/MCP looked at the size of the terrain.png and resized all other textures to fit that size, using base algorithms to set them to standard sizes so what was probably happening was MC was simply scaling the texture up to 128x.
The way it works now is textures are loaded individually, so you can have them be any resolution as opposed to the game taking them and rescaling them to make them compatible.
So yes 96x does work fine now, at least on my system I get really good results with it.
Images of new texture pack (5-18) update. I hope I got all the new textures.
I am not affiliated with cferrill1 or the Minecraft Enhanced texture pack. I just though images of all the new textures would be nice to have.
EDIT: I've noticed some missing content that makes that snapshots somewhat unplayable and inaccurate - the horse hearts in ~/gui/icons.png is missing; when riding a horse you cannot see how much health it has. I've edited them in in my version of the pack, but I think OP should consider putting them in.
For those of us that use a lot of mods, do you intend to expand this to cover Buildcraft, Industrial Craft 2, and any of the Thermal expansion, Factorization etc? This is my fave texturepack, and it would be truly the best out there if these were included...
Mo Creatures would be great to include in this too...
Thanks for the awesome look and feel of Minecraft. I would hate to have to use anything else...

Thanks for the bug report, I fixed the horse health bug last night as well as added the horse UI and fixed some other UI bugs.
They'll be in the next update. Thanks I had missed those.
My clouds and Sun/Moon are WAY messed up. It's always showing the wrong textures or with the wrong lighting.
I'm on 1.5.2 with Optifine, Forge, InvTweaks, Rei's Minimap, and TMI.
Thoughts, anyone?
EDIT: Turn OFF Custom Sky in Optifine's settings.
