Does someone here have an older version of the pack to get the cobblestone texture from it?
Here you go:
Save the pic as terrain.png and place in your texture pack. I've changed a couple other textures to 'fit' with the cobblestone. I believe only the netherack and the moss stone, though.
Well, that and the redstone texture. Didn't really like the one in this texture pack. I can get the old one if you want that.
Actually, I need to fix this. Gimme a little bit..
Ok, fixed. This should be what you're looking for.
New Version Is up, Highly recommended download as it fixes the shitty Cobble and is more what I was aiming for but had a poor judgement call.... It's not the original cobble, It's a revamp but a proper one. The old cobble was just too dark and didn't tile all that well this new one is more what I had hoped to achieve.
New Bonus CTM support for Tall grass and flowers, I really like this, I hope you do as well I'm basically treating the CTM mod as if it were the WildGrass Mod the random texture option is pretty awesome.
If you don't like this feature you just simply delete the CTM folder and it will revert things to vanilla, so no biggie if you don't like it
Make sure you have latest MCPATCHER as always I put a link to the thread finally, and I also Have a GUI fix for the snapshot as they made changes to the "allitems.png" which make the snapshot incompatible with the current game build so rather than having two whole seperate packs I figured a simple zip with the fixed on in it would be fine for the power users.
Enjoy and for the love of god please forget the horrible abomination that was the cobble..... let's pretend like that never happened please... damn you diablo 3... for rushing me....
Are you supposed to install it via the mcpatcher, or something? Because, all I have done was drop it into my texture pack folder in .minecraft. It loads fine; looks smooth and stuff, but there are some things that aren't rendered and just white or green cubes.
mcpatcher does not install the texturepack, you did it right just dumping the zip file in your texturepack folder.
you need to pacth bin/minecraft.jar with mcpatcher if you want to use texture packs with more den 16x16 pixels.
Personaly i use modloader + optifine HD instead of mcpatcher.
Hm, I still can't use this texture pack without all of the glitched up cubes and textures. Maybe I will screen cap it here soon to shw you what I mean.
It is really nice that you went ahead and updated so fast this time. I finally got the nerve to try the snapshot, and my indispensable MC enhanced pack is ready to download.
For those wondering, this pack works *almost* perfect with optifine. I've used it with MCpatcher as well and the only thing I can visibly see not working with OF is the torch animation when you're holding it in your hand. There may be some other things, but I don't think any block textures are broken using Optifine (I've recently started a new survival map so I have yet to see the End).
This is a great pack and I finally have a computer that can run it. I prefer textures that stay close to default, and the great thing about this is it stays faithful while improving on default's most problematic textures—most notably cobblestone, netherrack, and glass. The higher resolution helps a lot, but the pack also smoothes out a lot of the harsher textures as well (dirt, gravel, etc).
The ores are beautiful, shiny, and easy to spot. I like how you changed the glowstone (which I feel needs improvement in default) while keeping the redstone lamp. Lava and water are terribly sexy too. Overall, this pack has a very shiny appearance while keeping that minecrafty feel as you've said.
My only (minor) criticism is the bricks and wooden planks feel a bit too small and can look a bit wonky at a distance but I think I'll like them more as I get used to the pack.

It's funny you would mention the bricks and planks because the funny thing about this... my pickyness conflicts here.... because of the math.... minecraft Blocks are in 1 meter units, or 3 feet units for you americans.
Now if you divide the blocks into quarters and halfs like the default bricks are that would mean that the bricks are 1.5 feet long and about 8-9 inches tall.
I Have never seen a clay brick that big in my life, maybe a mortar/concrete one but not a traditional clay brick.
Because logistically they would never be able to get them fired properly in a kiln without there being issues with air pockets bubbling.
Also the handling and setting of a large brick for that for making say a chiminey stack would be just silly, it doesn't leave enough "resolution" for shaping things like windows and ledges out of the bricks.
As far as the wood goes again, I live in a 100year old nieghborhood all with wood panel siding, and most wood panel siding has a spacing of about 3-5 inches.. again the math just doesn't add up in the minecraft world those planks would be huge and extremely hard to manage not to mention that the laps would stick out further because of the increased width.
So yah this is something I have thought about A lot.... probably too much.... I keep hoping that jeb catches it and fixes it like they did with the cobble because this used to be the same way, they were way too big in comparison to what they should be in real life.
LOve this Texture pack, I wanted a default on HD, it runs around 120 frames per sec, great!!
I have a couple of questions, I used MC Patcher with this and before I got the grass waving in the breeze, now it doesn't do it with this texture pack, am I doing something wrong, can someone explain how I can get the wavy grass back?
Also will you be updating this pack for the upcoming 1.3 update?
And if you are how long will it take you to finish the new update after 1.3 is released.
I extracted the file to the Shaders folder and still no moving grass, I installed the GLSL mod etc but the grass does not move anymore.
Ok,
So I forced update of Minecraft, installed the GLSL mod and then I used MCPatcher then I installed the Mod for the Weaving Grass into the shaders folder in minecraft.jar, no luck.
Any thoughts anyone on installing everything in a specific way to make it work?
Try this.
Fresh install minecraft.jar
run mcpatcher
then install the glsl mod, you dont need to move any files, the pacther and glsl installer does it for you.
Run the game
Hey bco1981...it worked, many thanks indeed
BTW to the TP Creator, are you going to create this pack updated to 1.3 version and if so how long would it take you?
Also whats interesting I get over 200 fps without the OPTIFINE addon, only get around 50 with it installed....
Has anyone else tried the Shadow mod of the GLSL?
It looks way too bright on my system and dropping the brightness has no effect
Its awesome. One of the best texture packs ever. The only problem I'm having with is is that it makes my game lag really badly. I have 4gb RAM, I also just downloaded the latest version of Java. It seems like that should be enough. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Try using the 128x version and for better results use Optifine which will reduce the amount of lag.

Try Aberrant Tools: http://www.minecraft...ith-cool-traps/ It lets you build retractable bridges, lightning traps and more.

Yup honestly there isn't much difference between the two versions and the 128x version runs amazingly better
