You might want to change the version number on the links in the download section so you don't get thirty squawks asking if it's updated on Mediafire.
Sadly I would have to reupload and change the file, that's part of why I held off so long on updating I hate the X.X.1+ updates for this reason as they are just bugfixes and nothing usually changes with the textures but people still assume it's the wrong version,, but this version does work fine with 1.2.5
Edit- Oh I see what you mean the links on the front page still said 1.1, my bad I fixed it thanks
That has to be a problem with optifine as that is a transparency issue, Which I am not experiencing I didn't touch those textures and they have worked fine for 10 releases+ Try using a different version of optifine or updating your graphics drivers.
It seems when I use Paint or GIMP to scale the terrain.png down to 1024x1024 pixels, I get the transparency issue. Is there any way you could upload a 64x64 version of your texture pack?
Never mind, I figured out how to correctly change the resolution without affecting the transparency.
Also, have you ever thought about doing mod support? I would love to see Redpower, Buildcraft and such as part of this pack.
awesome this is updated. I was never into faithful type packs until recently (pretty much as soon as your texture pack became out of date) and ive just been waiting for this update. One thing ive noticed is that watermelon stems are not up to date.
It was a long wait but it is worth it everytime. Best texture Pack there is. I recomendedto all my friends and players on the server i play. Keep up the good work. If i was head of Minecraft this should be the standard pack in the game every time .
I have 1.2.5 MT A2 Optifine installed. Other HD texture packs work fine.
I also have this problem. Whenever I enter a map, this shows up for a few seconds and Minecraft crashes.
This texture pack is amazing, but now I can't play Minecraft. I simply refuse to play Minecraft with any other texture. I love the default Minecraft texture; all other HD textures besides this totally screw over the whole Minecraft look, and the way cities and buildings are supposed to look. For example, stupid RPG packs would make my spaceship look like a bunch of random blocks, but this texture makes everything I see on my server flow together very well, and ensures that other players who don't have texture packs see the map as beautifully as I see it. I simply can't play Minecraft without this; I use Optifine 1.2.5 MT A2, and other packs work fine.

I'm sure my computer can run it... or does the internet need a new slogan... "Can it run Minecraft?"
Compass doesn't have the pointer on 1.2.5 128x please fix awesome texture pack otherwise

You slaughter innocent animals for their hides and their flesh... You devastate the landscape and gouge out the Earth to build your monuments to vanity... And yet you call ME the monster.

That is a problem with optimine, it is caused by the use of linear texture filtering on held objects, use MCpatcher or a version of Optimine without that filtering. It also glitches the animated torch I've tested it myself.
Most of the problems I'm seeing are people resizing the textures with the wrong software or using Optimine. Try it with MCpatcher and without modifying the files if you have problems before reporting bugs.
Ive been playing with it for a while and i figured id give a quick criticism. not a big fan of the wheat/grass. The grass i can live with, but the wheat doesnt look right to me. doesnt look like wheat by any means. Im also not a big fan of the pick or sword (or the diamond ones at least, i dont have any other tools in my world, so i dont know if they have different styles). The sword, for my taste at least, should definitely be thicker. It kind of strays a little too much from the regular minecraft for me. and even if it wasnt supposed to be a faithful pack, i would still prefer a thicker blade. The diamond pick just looks weird to me. I think that it would look better thicker as well, and a little closer in shape to the minecraft pickaxe.
I realize and appreciate that you are trying to keep the same basic textures as vanilla but still giving them your own look and feel, but i think that those few textures are a little odd looking.
Still my favorite texture pack, but i thought you might appreciate a little critique. And i already mentioned this but i figured why not say it again; the watermelon stem textures are the same as default
im also not a big fan of the chests, but i think that you did really well in the direction that you took them, and it was obvious that you wanted them to look the way you did. But I would rather they look a little closer to default.
One last thing- the armor looks kind of strange to me. i know that its hard to work with the armor, but the lines look way too drawn on. i think that it might need shading or something of the sort to give it some sort of depth. that, or maybe have it a little more plain.
I hope you dont take this the wrong way, ive pointed out to you literally the only things i dont like about your texture pack. Everything else is phenomenal. By far the best texture pack ive ever used.
I am a happy camper. Been using all sorts of replacements for the last couple of weeks. Thanks to you, my Minecraft now looks as I am used to it should

Yup all those things you mentioned are really really old, things I did back in nov 2010... yes i've been working on this for 1.5years..... I've never went back and redid them because I felt they worked, but that is why bricks got reworked in this version because those were really old and crappy as well. Good quality 256x textures take A LOT of time, and I don't really play minecraft I haven't really "played" the game in a year, so I just do these updates for people who like it and I like modding. Sometimes I wish I had gone with 64/128x because it would be so much easier, would take like a quarter of the time.
Honestly skins in this game will never be good because square models are super super hard to work with, I would honestly rather do a armor/model mod at this point than waste more time trying to get them to look awesome. And I don't even play the game and when I do I only play creative/SSP, so the blocks have and will always be my highest priority, the skins will never be awesome with this pack because I just don't want to invest the time for something that doesn't interest me, when I play I just like building stuff.
Hey uh..Just a problem of mine. How exactly do I make bump maps? I've been looking for a way to make them, but google seems to fail me (Llama=Noob :/) Again, I know this has nothing to do with your pack, but the help would be much appreciated.
1.2.5 or 1.2.4 does not matter (what i know) for tex-packs,
since reading the the 1.2.5 update, one learns that there is mostly bug and function-fixes
- and no new textures to be updated.
Even some(saying some just in case) 1.2.4 mods work on 1.2.5.

I made this forum account purely to say thank you for this texture pack / 1.2.5 update. It is the best texture pack.
