Alright, I updated my texture pack for 1.8 and for some reason spiders, cave spiders and endermen spawn white. Can any one give me a reason as to why so I can try to fix it?

It has to do with the transparencies on their eye textures. I can only guess the devs changed how the game reads them for whatever reason. I fixed it with alpha layers in PS, but if you want a simpler fix you can re-save those files with GIMP and just uncheck "Save background color" and "Save values from transparent pixels"
In 1.8, Jeb changed the way transparencies work with the "eyes" files. As such, a lot of programs, including Photoshop, export with the wrong form of transparency. This means that the textures appear to have a white background in game. However, Paint.NET exports in the correct format, so all you need to do is open the spider_eyes.png and enderman_eyes.png with Paint.NET and then click save. That should fix it.

alright that seems to have fixed it with the endermen, but the spiders are still acting up

is there a way to get PS to save the transparency?

I'm not sure you CAN fix it in Photoshop. Paint.NET is free, however, so just download it and open the PS files with that and save them again, that should fix it.

The new MCPatcher version fixes this.
where do i get that?
ok the MCpatcher doesnt work.
The pack probably doesnt have any of the textures for the mobs, so it just appears as white.
