My schedule is really borked today, so it should be released 10-10:30 PM west coast time...
The general consensus seems to be gui #2, so that will be my default.
And actually, I think that gui #2 is the LEAST complicated, the patterned borders in #1 and #3 have tome intricate shading.
You think the grass is too simple? :tongue.gif: You should see it and the dirt in game. You can tonight/tomorrow :smile.gif:
Keep in mind, my dirt/grass is on the previous page. The OP's screen is outdated.
Indeed i agree it dose look good in game but i just think i should have more detail the grass in fact i love the dirt but the grass, in my opinion do not work for me. Maybe some day you could make a alt or something like that.
Here is the grass in those screenshots.
This has been irking me because I made it pixel by pixel and it took a while :tongue.gif:
I'm not sure if I can make it more detailed.

If you made it any more detailed it would just be noise. I think the grass is perfect. It's amazing the detail that can come out of just a few pixels and some tricks of shading.
I also just noticed that your flint&steel is a Zippo, any chance of an alternative for actual flint and steel? I personally don't think the Zippo fits the MC game as a whole is all :smile.gif:

That would be a Summerfields placeholder. Almost all of the items right now are placeholders, and will remain that way for a bit.
Snow and side snow (TOP PRIORITY)
Bookcase
Trapdoor
Long grass + flowers
More tools
Better biome shading?
Hoorah! Leaving work in 5 minutes, will give it a run when I get home. Will give feedback on anything I notice :smile.gif:
Could you list all blocks/items that you have currently completed so that we know which are yours and which are placeholders (I have not, and others may not have used the pack your using as a placeholder and know which is which :wink.gif: )
The download is presently denying my attempts to acquire this pack. If you happen to be a wizard, I would appreciate it if you would make it functional. If you're not, then I guess I'll just keep trying and hope it fixes itself.
This is gorgeous. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it! Also can't wait to see what you do (if you do) with lava and water! (*crosses fingers for custom animations*)
I especially like how well most things tile. Not many packs have amazing tiling.
OK I've jumped in and had a look, a couple niggles.. Well one big one really..
SOOO BRIGHT!!! The brightness of the foliage needs to be really scaled down, its just so in your face. See the screenshot below for my example of just how bad it looks... I really should find that placeholder pack so I know whats what hey..
And I tried out my idea of inverting the ladders, I also swapped the two rows of pixels to keep the shading kinda right:
Other than that I'm liking the start you've made :smile.gif:

The foliage color is weird. I did not create the current biome shading or the leaves and long grass, so I will get this sorted out within the next few days. Summerfields' biome shading is weird because it does not add enough color if you put the texture onto grayscale, but way too bright if you try to colorize it.
Summerfields had grass with yellow-green color before applying biome color, so that's what is happening.
That, and I've been playing in mountain biomes while testing and the green is duller there.
So yeah. I did not do anything to the color of the trees or long grass, just the grass blocks. I'll tone everything down for the next release.
I'm wondering how many more people want #2. I've been on the fence between #2 (square) and #3 (loop w/ indicator)
I think I'm liking #2 the most now.. #1 is too plain, #3 is closer to what I was thinking, maybe a less chunky bar at the top on #3 would sway me?
Which ever way you go, your work Sir, is outstanding! :laugh.gif:

Ah right of course :smile.gif:
Here are my planned blocks for V0.5_1:

Hope it's up in a few minutes.

It's Mediafire's server. Not really anything I can do about it- hopefully it's working now.

They're in the spoiler beneath the terrain.png
I'll colorize the grass and sidegrass again tonight and release an early (smaller) update. If that doesn't fix it, then I don't know what's up.
It looks like the biome shading just isn't applying to the sidegrass. I don't see why it wouldn't.
