I feel I need to make a good post here.
The new stone texture... It's sexy. I'm actually going to go ahead and say it's the best stone texture I've ever seen. In any resolution.
But... and I'm quite angry that I noticed this... There is a very slight tiling error.
It's probably most visible on Bloodgazm's last picture(the post above). Probably about 5-10 pixels above the bottom of the texture.
The furnaces are really nice, and unique. Though, they don't look right in a home setting, or any other, for that matter.
Vines, again, very nice, are lacking in gravity. They swivel-swavel and look like they would fit better on the moon.
My opinions on soul sand are the same as Bloodgazm.(Post above)
I'm still not a fan of the planks. The wood-grain just seems so off, and doesn't seem to fit the pack. I haven't heard anyone else complain, though, so I might just make some planks myself to use with it.(If I do get something I'm happy with, I'll show it in a screenshot, if maybe you'd be interested?)
I see your point about the vines, but I think they look excellent the way they are. Vanilla vines have the same "lack of gravity" look to me and I think it's a side effect of them being paper thin flat planes. The "swivel-swavel" look makes them elegant and lovely.
I like the planks a lot, particularly the dark wood ones. Although they do sort of stand out as individual blocks when they tile, which can be a good or bad thing depending on how they're used.
Not i particular fan of the new diamond block :/ it lacks... Well diamond. It looks like a gold block with diamond ore in the middle.
Not a big fan of the circle stone ether it seems to push out too much. It would be nice to imagine it as smooth with just pattered ingravings.
Probably just me but the iron blocks and iron door seem very dark same with the emerald block.
But apart from those minor things it's an Amazing texture pack probably my favorite of all time. Everytime i change to different one i come back to this pack. The sprite quality is soooo crisp!
yay! Can't wait to see a customizer! Also I have to agree with Kazoid's assessment of the new diamond block. Other than that, I love it and agree that it's my favorite as well
I wish I could make the Mystic Ores Iridium the gold tools for this, because they are so well textured. Unfortunately when I try manually using Gimp (2.0) it messes up somehow.
EDIT: If/when you get customiser is it possible to make the Mystic Ore mod's Iridium tools a customisable version of gold tools?
I would be open to adding the old Mystic Ores stuff to the customizer, yeah.
Right now I just want to know how CTM works. It's absurdly useful.
Hoo boy, CTM. What are your plans for it? Glass? I bet it would work really nice for ores. Make them seem more rounded. Perhaps some CTM wool, for carpets?

The carpet sounds good, and I was planning on ores. Obviously random flora is a necessity. I think I'll randomize some cobble, brick, grass, sand, sandstone and stone brick, and I'll probably try connecting sandstone tops.

Love all of 'em ideas. But, uhh... Make sure to keep non-CTM textures. Damn willpack tells you to use CTM.

Soul Sand: as it is now, it doesn't really work. Perhaps randomized textures with CTM will fix that? That, or I'll just scrap it.
Planks: I can't really operate off of that feedback
Diamond block: It's not up to par. I'll figure out a new version
Iron block, door, etc: the really dark textures are completely intentional
Alternates: If/when minecraftcustomizer updates to 1.3 I will upload older textures.

You should also consider the Swords+ textures to be included, too. They are really nice.
