I, for one, like the look of the spherical redstone ore. Seeing as redstone doesn't really correspond to a real-world material I think it adds a sense of uniqueness to it. Plus I think the look goes well with the way redstone ore glows when you touch it, it's as though you came across some glowing red pearl deep inside a lava filled cave.
I do like the idea of runic-looking wires for the redstone lines, in the style of the patterns seen on the HUD and other blocks in the pack
Well, I don't mind the sphere redstone ore, cuz frankly it's so fragile that when mined turns to dust :tongue.gif:. Unless you can mine little specs of redstone out of a block of rock :wink.gif:.
A good point. I've had a few other people say this to me.

Thanks! :ohmy.gif:
And that was my intention for the wires.
So, a first attempt on leaves... they could use some improvement. Any recommendations?
EDIT: there is a really obnoxious gap in the texture. I fixed it.
If I thought it looked like a zit, I would not have decided to display it among the few textures in my original signature.
I felt like I imparted the idea that the sphere was staying and the dust was being replaced, not the other way around. I feel like having a standard ore for redstone is a bit off, considering it was the closest thing the game had to magic for the longest time.
Also, if you happen to have a glasslike growth anywhere on your face, I would have it checked.
Must have read your post wrong somehow then..
There are other ways to make it work, Tobi (my sig) has a different approach, although I'm not a huge fan of the redstone "dust" he has.
I'll have to see how it looks in-game as I haven't ventured underground with your pack to see the redstone ore.
Oh wow! I love the wiring, especially when turned on! I might not want to hide it anymore =P as for the trees... rain rain go away... but the picture is slightly better. I like the leaves! I guess when you post the update Ill see them in all their sunny glory =P Great job!
Wait your new ender pearl is red? Or is that the powered sphere redstone? Also great job on the wood and vines :biggrin.gif:
It's redstone. I figured that I couldn't make an awesome sphere that was more awesome than the Ender Pearl, so the redstone is smaller and I've added 'shpere' shading. Besides, the Ender Pearl texture was never super common and I liked seeing it :tongue.gif:
love the sandstone and stone bricks!
don't like the cobblestone, but that's 'cause I prefer the rocky-realistic cobblestone thing
a pic of the items.png would be cool too :biggrin.gif:
what did you use to edit these textures?
This need for rounded cobble seems to keep popping up... I started with the odd brick cobble because making organic shapes at a low resolution is awkward.
EDIT: I feel like I mostly have it down after making the new wood, but I'm not sure.
I could post the items.png when I upload the update.
GIMP 2 is my editor.

Those leaves however, nice!
The leaves are cool, too.*
*Basically I can't say anything about any leaves, as they are leaves.
:blink.gif: :biggrin.gif: Those loopy wires? very very tasteful. Leaves, still love them :tongue.gif:
They could be total crud, some texturepacks do a horrible job at them. The shading and density is just right here.
Sand
Leaves
Vines
Furnaces
Pistons
Wood Tools
Ingots
Redstone wire
Iron shovel cross bar is lower
Redstone is now a charged sphere
This list is not final. It will be released tomorrow.
I crammed many updates into this picture.
What do you think of the new logs?
Approvsion. The wood looks very nice now.
Derpy Hooves is amazing in every way <3

I'd like to see your opinion after using them in game :biggrin.gif:
