Looks absolutely AMAZING! This looks like a x64 but it's not! Very good! :biggrin.gif:
Every now and then this actually happens in reverse for me. I'm so used to working with 32x that I see a 64x and think HOW THE HECK did he manage that in 32x? Then I realize what's actually happening after geeking out and it leaves me a bit disappointed :mellow.gif:
I enjoy these, as they are good, but I must say, they seem to be a bit "off," from the rest of the pack. Everything up to now has been non-technological, then you throw this piston, as a homage to Glimmar, in there, and put metal plated vents on the furnace? It doesn't seem to fit. At all.

I was wondering if someone would say this.
First, the furnace fits. You can check the iron door and iron block on my first page. The backdrop (which I drew over) for the furnace was the smooth stone and the palette and style were taken from the iron door. I put the hatch and ventilation into it because it felt logical.
The piston does not. It's true that I haven't done anything technological, but that's partially because I haven't made any other block that used some form of technology.
When I started thinking of piston concepts, I was thinking that it was possible to make it look like the gui... A sort of mystic/engraved stone look. But when I thought about it, I felt like it wasn't interesting enough and would end with copy-pasting. I did not initially restrict to myself to a theme because I wanted to stay interested and I didn't really have a style yet.
So I don't know what the final fate of the piston will be. I made it like this because most creations do not try to expose piston sides, and I wanted to try something different. I'm sure that I will get around to making an alternate piston, but it will be like this in the release of the next patch. The furnace is staying.
Edit: I feel like the front and plunger of the piston remain consistent with the pack.
I'm going to see how much I can get done by Friday night. That is the earliest I will release 0.7.
While I do agree that the back of the piston doesn't exactly fit with the rest of the pack, I don't really think that's a bad thing. Overall, the piston does definitely fit in, thanks to that cool loop design.
THIS IS AMAZING! Tried this out for the first time and I must say, this is truly epic! Keep working until it's finished and don't stop there! :biggrin.gif:

MY NAME ON MINECRAFT IS BREATHER!!!!!! IT'S ABOUT TIME I CHANGED MY SIG! BEST TEXTURE PACK EVAR!
[...] I just downloaded it and it looks stunning, the only problem I have is the ores don't look....well ore-y(it's a word :tongue.gif:). Its not a major problem I just thought they were abit odd (mainly the redstone and diamond, I've grown to love the rest). [...]
Hmm.. Firstly Diamond isn't an ore, its a crystal, so the diamond "ore" is appropriate.
I do however agree on the redstone.. the big orb is odd.. especially since you receive a "dust" when mined.

Oh. Derp. I made the redstone sphere a while ago and have only been on creative lately, so this completely slipped my mind. I'll change it. I just have to figure out what to do with the wire... maybe runic looking power lines? I don't want to line it with spheres :tongue.gif:
Also, it's really cool to see people from earlier in the thread come back, not that I mind new posts :biggrin.gif:
If I thought it looked like a zit, I would not have decided to display it among the few textures in my original signature.
I felt like I imparted the idea that the sphere was staying and the dust was being replaced, not the other way around. I feel like having a standard ore for redstone is a bit off, considering it was the closest thing the game had to magic for the longest time.
Also, if you happen to have a glasslike growth anywhere on your face, I would have it checked.
Well, I don't mind the sphere redstone ore, cuz frankly it's so fragile that when mined turns to dust :tongue.gif:. Unless you can mine little specs of redstone out of a block of rock :wink.gif:.

Every post doesn't necessarily have to be criticism. I'm always glad to see that people like it enough to comment :tongue.gif:
I can see that. I was in no hurry to make my own sand because Summerfields' white sand is quite good.
Edit: 3 PAGE COMBOOO
Thanks!
Success! Any word on v0.7?
