Time for a little serpo perceptio of what I've got so far on the next update. Thorny rose vines, just in time for the anniversary of the Valentines Day Massac—er... I mean... just in time for Valentines Day. Admittedly the timing was a complete coincidence. I'm not much of a romantic, bad Latin notwithstanding (Romantic, geddit?).

Although most of my other flower textures are working from source images, I decided to do this one by hand to resemble my original rose flower. I might still want to tinker with the color balance some, add some more spiky bits and perhaps a hint of a shadow for depth, but this is the general gist of what its going to look like.

Still no progress on the hideous demonic hag-thing, and I haven't got any news about the texture for the Witch mob either (honestly, I don't know why I thought my mother-in-law was relevant*). In the meantime, please enjoy this delightfully evil Valentines-related question I stumbled across on Yahoo! Answers, because its vaguely relevant and potentially delicious.

*I don't actually have a mother-in-law

Okay another sneak peek. I've done all new flower pots. They're beakers now. I've also made improvements to my rosebush design and replaced the old yellow pod with the wilted dandelion from the Asylum flavor.

Another preview. New beacon and beacon beam. I'm also thinking I might do the beacon as a giant vacuum tube instead. I haven't really decided yet, but I'm keeping the new beam. Admittedly a vacuum tube shooting lightening into the sky doesn't make much sense scientifically, but when has that ever stopped me?

I was also thinking a Van de Graaf generator, but decided against it because those just look like stainless steel spheres, so you wouldn't really be able to tell what it was.

Custom CTM prop-block. If you want only the top to have a bulb, bury the bottom block in the floor. I might later add some crackling lightening to the surface

Overhauled the wood. I may make Jungle and Birch Planks more unique at a later date, but for now this is what they'd look like. CTM for the Jungle Log is also pending.

And here are the Dark Oak and the Acai—um... the ~~Acaia~~, ~~Acca~~, ~~Arcadia~~, ~~Academia~~, ~~Accordion~~, ~~Antarctica~~, ~~Anarchist~~, ~~Antichrist~~, ~~Anacin~~, ~~Anicca~~, ~~Artichoke~~, ~~Antlion~~, ~~Arsenic~~, ~~Acrobat~~, ~~Artifact~~... er... gimme a second.... the Acacia Wood.

The Aca—uh... the planks that start with 'A' are the particle board from the Asylum flavor, which was originally going to appear only in the adventure map version of the pack and be removed from the regular version when I got around to it, but since there are more woods now I have room to include it in both. When I take Asylum off its hiatus, I'll sort everything out to remove the duplicate textures.

Just in case you were wondering, development on the adventure map is also on hiatus. I've just got too many other projects I'm working on.

Updated the bookshelves to use the new planks as a background. I'm currently working on multiple, randomized versions of each piece to give the connected bookshelves a little more variety.

Redid the control panel painting. This one's animated too, but I won't paste a .gif because there's like 6 different animations with different numbers of frames moving at different rates, and I don't really feel like figuring out the number of frames required to do a full seamless loop that includes all of them... and also because it might trigger epileptic seizures. I don't know that much about what triggers those apart from stuff blinking on and off quickly, but there's a lot of that in this, so there might be a legitimate risk there. Sorry about that.

Alright, the pictures in the mobs section are all up to date, save for the skeleton, whither skeleton and magma cube, which I have to wait to get pictures of until the chaps at Novaskin debug their wobsite.
