If they do go ahead with this, I say we just keep one thread in the 'about/downloads' section. That's basically what this one is now and I really don't think they would lock all our threads, especially since there are some very respected pack makers here!
It might also convince them that it wasn't the best of idea's so they can just leave it as is.
They dont think anything about us, just their "CPU-usage" and that other ****.
As said before the forums was a nice place and their just doing it difficult for us and for them,they dont care bout our thought,no just throwing us into this shithole of rules, go ahead,delete my pack, i dont care the forums arent good anymore..
Hey guys? Maybe we should actually bring up our issues with someone? I'm not sure who that'd be, maybe we could move discussion to the Forum Discussion & Info section, though my experience tells me that's just the place where Curse tells us this is how things are and no real discussion is necessary, we've already decided without user input and our limited information on things is fine to work with.
Edit: In light of Grugsy's post, it seems I myself am ill-informed. Who, exactly, is making these stupid decisions then?

Okay guys, I've gone full circle with this idea, and now I'm at a very peaceable and pleasant conspiracy phase. So how about that? The whole reason they're doing this to us is they want the Texture Packs sub-forum to die. It's too much work for them and they don't want to hire mods, so making it pedantic will hopefully dissuade most people from posting at all. It will make everything easier for them. This place will start to atrophy.

Uh... no please. That isn't fair at all. For me, half the fun of minecraft is the textures! So removing this from the forum over time would be a HUGE mistake and be removing a part of minecraft... from the MINECRAFT forum.

Ugh... I really don't want to have to leave this forum... I guess I'll try to get away with just having ONE thread until I get in trouble... then I would have to leave this forum.. Would suck because I'm sure I (as with a lot of us) get a lot of our texture pack views through this forum. I don't want to lose potential fans just because I decide to keep all my pack in one simple place rather then 3 jumbled threads.
Wait, what? Are they seriously going to do this? That's ********! Most idiotic and stupid thing i've heard for ages! I'll leave this whole forum if that happens, screw the minecraft forums then! NO THANK YOU!
