Thanks! I was going to create all the other stuff today, but it will be pretty useless, since 1.8 will be released in 1-2 weeks... :biggrin.gif:
Well I have no clue when the REAL Finished product of MC is going to be done but since it was supposed to be launched on 11/11/11 it should be coming out soon. maybe you should wait until then. But you choose what you want and what you think is best. I sorta want you to finish it too but I don't want people to work so hard just so they have to update it.
I'm not exactly sure how to use this. I have Gimp. How do I open this up. Confused
-If any can help me Id appreciate it
Please don't flame/troll me :sad.gif:
Photoshop ≠ pixel work. Sorry if this is news to you.
Maybe you don't know how to use Photoshop. It works fine for me select the pencil tool not the brush tool. and just switch the erase tool to pencil, rather then brush.

Were there any textures added in between 1.9 pre-release 4 and Minecraft 1.0? (Trying to figure out if this is up to date)
I stoped updating these templates when the 4th pre-release was "released"... but now that it's 1.0.0, I'll start updating it today. And finishing the last mobs that I have to, like the Enderdragon, that is basically a pain in the butthole to separate in layers...

These are fantastic, will be great to get a new update
Downscale textures that was already made? You can do that without my templates... just go on photoshop, load up the terrain.png (for example, as that's the most important of a tex pack), then use "ctrl + shift + alt + i" to change the scale.
For terrain.png, 128 X 128 = 8x texture pack
256 X 256 = 16x Texture Pack
512x = 32x
1024x = 64x
2048x = 128x
4096x = 256x
8192x = 512x
Youve just convinced me to start on a texture pack.
Good job.

This needs to be Pinned, Stickied, or put in the Minecraft Archives as this seems tremendously helpful to anyone wanting to create a texture pack of their own. Awesome work!

If only I had found this BEFORE I tried to make my own texture pack in MSpaint...

Yes, of course!
Finished updating to 1.0.0 (and the latest 1.0.1 pre-release) I'm finishing the rest as we "speak".

Net_Bastard's Epic Low-res! As much awesomeness that you can cram into a 5x5 texture pack, and then some!
