I was looking thru the templates and the template for art/kz.png the layer labeled "Useless Wooden Planks?" is the texture for the back of the paintings. And it is only the upper left 16 by 16 pixels that are used, even for larger pictures (it is also flopped left to right when displayed in game.) Also a 1 high by 16 wide strip is used for the top and bottom sides of the pictures and a 16 by 1 strip is used for the left and right sides of the pictures.
Wasn't helpful at all. I downloaded the 32x32 one, and right off the bat I see text overlaying some textures, which isn't a big deal, but then I try to edit textures, and I cant. The only place I can edit is where there is nothing. So 0/10 rating unless someone can help me fix this.

1. You can disable the text layer
2. what program are you using?
3. you have to select the right layer to draw on it...
4. Are you new to using the editing program in general?
All your problems aren't his fault. They work 100% for me and everyone else here.

Thank you so much for making these! They are so incredibly helpful! can I just point out one small error? in the 1.9 terrain, you have a texture labeled as "cauldron liquid, unused". it's actually not unused, or a cauldron liquid, it's the base for the brewing stands.
thanks a lot man! I've always wanted to make an HD texture pack but never really knew how. this makes it so much easier. also any idea when you will have mobs done?

Thanks! By "base" you mean, the color of the liquids inside the potions on the Brewing Stands?

Not sure how to skin a mob? Check my mob skin thread.

Net_Bastard's Epic Low-res! As much awesomeness that you can cram into a 5x5 texture pack, and then some!
There's a Gimp version (which is free) and you can get a psd plugin for Paint.net (which is also free)
Yes, that's why I DID converted them to .pngs, but not everything for now... what's wrong with using Paint.net or Gimp? ¬¬
