550 Downloads! Pretty nice! The most downloaded is the 512X512 template, and the least one is the All-in-One pack. Thanks for all the support guys! I'll start updating it to 1.8 and creating the full template one day after 1.8 is launched (probably 09/13/2011).
Update 9/23/2011
Woah, 2467 downloads already! And I didn't even updated it to 1.8 or 1.9... I'm working as quick as possible guys, I can't use PC all day, so I can't be faster... sorreh... will be released eventually!
Many thanks for the feedback!
Update 9/24/2011
I decided to already update it to 1.9 without finishing everything. The post is much beautiful now and now the terrain.png and items.png are updated to 1.9! There's just some more stuff to release, like the mobs... they'll be done as quick as possible!
Update 10/16/2011
After some time without any update, I updated the terrain.png and items.png to 1.9pre 4! :biggrin.gif: Also, corrected some typos on the topic and added the option to download .png files instead of .psd files, attending to requests!
Lastly, I added the link to download the paint.net plugin so you guys stop asking how to open it with paint.net... :tongue.gif:
Update 11/29/2011
WOAH, long time no updates, huh? Basically, I was lazy as hell. But I updated all the finished stuff to 1.0.0, and I'm REALLY creating the mobs and the rest right now as you read this ****. So just wait some more...
Please, consider giving me some feedback, and thanks for downloading!

Photoshop ≠pixel work. Sorry if this is news to you.
Photoshop has a pencil tool, man. It can most definitely be used for pixel art. Unless, that is, you think anything than the horrible interface for MSPaint doesn't count and layers are a work of the devil?
Not to mention, not every pack maker does pixel art.

Every good pack maker does pixel art, and anyone with a general knowledge of pictures knows that MS Paint does not support transparency. I personally love working in PS, but its not a pixel art program to me. Yes pixel art is done in it, but you don't hear much about PS without some sort of overlay or liquifying, etc.

That first point is actually an opinion, and your point on Photoshop only mentions how most people use it, not what it can actually be used for (you don't need to use those things to use Photoshop). I will agree that good pack makers usually know some things about pixel art (they normally know how to work with smaller dimensions better), but that doesn't mean your pack has to be strictly pixel art to look good.

I have to agree with you. I'm creating my texture pack now, with pixel art, in photoshop. Photoshop is simply universal.

This. I'm not great at pixel art (although I'm not horrible at it either), but it is still possible to create high-quality original material by careful manipulation of other built in features of programs like GIMP or PS (like difference clouds, bump maps, fractals and other countless generators).
On topic, I think this will be great for beginners, I didn't have anything like this when I began. I hope you update this to 1.8 soon though.
Hi there! I can't seem to add my choice to the poll, but I think this is an awesome idea and can't wait until it is ready for 1.8! Thanks for using your time to make for a better experience for all, and for sharing this :biggrin.gif:
Patiently waits for 1.8 update, whilst impatiently tapping foot.
I'm kinda slow, but editing each armor is a pain in the ass!
What's done: Terrain.png, particles.png, pack.png, achievements and almost done with the armors. I'm creating more stuff right now...

Thanks! I was going to create all the other stuff today, but it will be pretty useless, since 1.8 will be released in 1-2 weeks... :biggrin.gif:

PS2: This... is... BUMP!

Retired StaffNice idea, I added it to the topic:
:tongue.gif: Download Everything! :tongue.gif:
If that's what you asked, yes there is one named layer per block!
(It may take a while, but I'll update the topic in sometime...)
