I need help with texture pack updating because i am still new and dont know much about it still so how will i update my CarTuneCraft texture pack from 1.7.3 to 1.8?? I use GIMP 2.6
For the pack, just use the pictures jeb_ released for items and terrain for 1.8. For your thread, just wait until you've tested it out in Minecraft 1.8, tweak it, then update your thread.

I have them now, I just need to know how to get the previous texture pack re-textured blocks from the 1.7.3 terrain.jpg or .png or whatever and get them to the 1.8 pictures..

If you're saying you want to grab all your textures from your 1.7 terrain and put them on the 1.8 terrain, the best thing to do would be to just use something like gimp or paint.net, grab all the new textures, and place them where they'd be on your 1.7 terrain. Same goes for items, and boom, it's 1.8 ready.
