I'm trying to make a texture pack with all the redstone purple.. How do I recolor placed redstone? It's white in the texture, I just can't make sense of it. Help would be appreciated.
EDIT: Is this the right section for this? If not, can someone tell me so I can move?
Well, I'm not sure if it'll completely work, but possibly if you color the redstone texture blue, the red overlay will combine with it and make it purple. I'm not completely sure if it'll work, but it's worth a try!

Yes, that will work, although it might take a couple of tries to get the shade of purple you wanted. The red color for redstone comes from the code, but I don't know which .class file it is... If some one could tell me?
Look at the terrain.png- underneath the redstone textures there are 2 blank squares. Those are layered over the redstone textures and aren't affected by the red colouring (the layout of this second texture is the same- left one is a straight line, right one is a junction) I'm pretty sure that's how it is, at least.

Sorry, I don't really understand how this is relevant to my topic..
Are you saying I should edit those bottom images instead?

It won't work, the color of red that goes over it is too deep, or something. Redstone just seems uncolorchangeable.
^^^New word win

Yeah, that's what I meant. The bottom textures aren't affected by the automatic red colouring that affects the top textures.
I think the bottom images are for on, and the top ones for off. Is that wrong?EDIT: I was wrong. Now, how do I change redstone particle colors?
