First of all, if I am posting this in the wrong section and I'm very sorry. Please point me the right way because I couldn't find anything in the forum rules about this.
So I was thinking about how in any specific texture pack, you will almost always find something you don't like, or miss something from another texture pack. The solution is a complete customizer which would give you the option to replace textures in a base pack, with any of the textures from an entire library of quality packs. I think this should be a in game feature, but that's beside the point. The real problem is that in order to get any really good packs on the site you would be infringing the rights of the artists who put so much time and effort into giving us free texture packs. My solution is that with some really clever programming, you could track the downloads of specific images and textures within the overall combo pack and attribute credit to those creators. Then if adfly or something similar was used in combination with ads on the actual site itself, you could pay the creators a very small sum for each specific piece of his or her work used. It would only be like a fraction of a cent per download, depending how much money was actually made. But if the site became more popular, the creators would get more and more money. I have no website design talents whatsoever, but i think that this could be a profitable arrangement for the whole community. What do you think?
