If you don't want the nagware WinRAR, get 7-zip. It's just as good and you don't get that annoying licence message after a little bit.

EDIT: I think you're being scammed or something; texture packs don't come in .rar.

Every time that someone on the support forums doesn't say anything after I tell them a possible solution, I assume that they are having too much fun enjoying their fixed Minecraft to reply.
