Well I don't know if this link will allow you to see what I've done in an attempt to stop this, but basically every website will need somewhere to host files.

My texture pack

For confirmation, the "Deposit Files" recognizes my file as one that infringes on my copyright and has subsequently been removed from the downloader.

If you need help getting your stuff removed from a website, I can help! I had changed majors two years ago but the current one I'm working on it computer science, but I used to be pursuing a law degree.

I can get your stuff removed from anywhere. One problem though, as this is happening with mods as well how do I tell the modders where their content is being hosted illegally? I don't want to pm every modder, but I don't think they are checking this thread.

Well, copying and pasting this thread into the modding discussion forum may be frowned upon simple because it can be found here. I'm hoping to put together a guide that shows people how to stop piracy and remove illegally hosted files from the internet. Regardless of where a website is from, most advertisers work through the US and will pull their advertising from a website if the website infringes on copyright.

Most people just don't know what to do when their packs/resources/work/mods/etc. are stolen.
