Numerous mods have been stolen as well. I recommend that everyone check to ensure that their content hasn't been stolen. If it has, you will need to click on the download link and report the file to their file hosting service.
I'm not seeing an adfly link....it just looks like a regular download to me.
I used to get really upset about this sort of thing, but when I googled my packs I found that it's very common for people to put it up on their website, especially foreign language websites.
It kinda irks me that they won't get any new versions I put out (because they'll be downloading the old ones), but unless they are trying to make money off of it I'm not really concerned.
That said, thank you very much for your vigilance and for bringing this to everyone's attention. :smile.gif:
Well that explains lots, except how I'm supposed to read any of it XD
I use chrome so it translates it. However, the download image is in russian and won't translate, so just click the green button on the left to see for yourselves.
This site is getting away with a lot currently, but if we shut down their hosting they will know that someone is watching.

Well, yes your pack is obviously very popular and so you must have to deal with others hosting the content a lot more than I do.
The main issue I have though is that they are profiting from your work even without an adf.ly link. They don't need that, they use very intrusive ads to monetize the site.
Didn't you guys notice the video popups? I usually unblock ads to find out whether or not a site is profiting off of something, and found ads that pop up whenever you click ANYTHING.
While it is up to you what action you take, I just thought I would inform all of you so that those interested in that sort of information could have it.
I wish they would just link the download to the thread here...

Agreed. I would much prefer that they link to my thread.
Also, I just read the end of your post where you mention that they are also hosting minecraft. THAT makes me angry. Why? Because it's illegal.

Yeah, doesn't seem like an innocent, "well I didn't know I couldn't have your textures and distribute your stuff" once you know about minecraft being hosted.

Most developers offer special incentives to buying the legal copy of a game in Russia because of this. Example:
There's hardly a thing you can do.
