Ok, I decided since I have 1.5 months now, that I should continue this pack. Only problem now is that I need another one to work with me. someone to make the mobs, gui and other stuff that I may not be able to do. Every help is appreciated!
I have no idea what theme you're going for, but it seems a little bit simple, and most of the blocks shown have tiling issues (Stone, dirt, bedrock, sand, wood, and your grass also doesn't tile that well).
God no, I am not going to anyway near simple, It's just a mini prototype that I thought I should publish, since i just saw a similar WIP pack, I need some help of making it, since I have no past experience with minecraft texturing, so It will take some time but im sure at the end product it will be good.
The wood needs to be a little more rugged (imo) and it looks like you've tried to apply shading to make it look as if the bark has distinct layers... while this looks OK, it makes the block look diamond-shaped... go for a more smooth shading, only around the edges, if you want it to look a bit more circular.
Dirt and grass... hmm. Both have similar problems. If you have Photoshop or GIMP, apply a blur effect first, then use a noise filter (about 1-3%) and see how it looks. Tiling will need to be redone after this, though, but it will fit the realistic logs much better.
Cobblestone's an easier (or maybe harder) one to get right, I guess... make the cracks darker in between the stones, apply some lighter colour (not too light, just a bit) over the top edges of each of the stones, and some darker colour over the bottom edges of the stones to give them a more realistic and 3-D look. Darkening the cracks will aid this as well.
For the planks, add some vertical lines (with appropriate shading) into each "plank". Stagger the lines (don't put them all in one row, keep them all reasonably spaced from each other), and don't worry about the "length" of the planks - they should all work out to be about 1 block wide anyway, just not completely on one textured block. It allows them to fit in more nicely.
The bricks are quite good, but apply similar techniques I suggested above (for cobblestone) to the bricks: darken up the lines between, and apply some lighter tones of orange to the "lit" parts of each brick. They don't stand out enough, imo.
gravel looks good, but you'll want to add some more medium-tones to it; at the moment, it just has light, and dark tones. Add some midway tones so it looks more natural. The sand just needs a little more contrast (make the waves a little more noticeable) and it's perfect.

Wow, you gave me some work!
Thanks alot! I will start working on those once i get back home.
EDIT: Done doing everything, except the planks, I need it to be easier english >.<
I quite like the wood, but I have to say I absolutely hate the cobblestone. In my opinion, it needs a complete redo. Those ores also need a little more shading around them to blend them into the stone more.

Thanks for the positive critisism! :smile.gif:
I will do more shading to the ores, once it's morning here.
And the cobble.... nah, ill leave it that way :tongue.gif:
But on a less happy note, the stone needs more detail on the edges, making the blocks connect instead of just having the same color edge. See how the detail on the stone is only in the middle? It would look better if you put some on the edges and make them connect. That way, all of the stone will look like one. Probably.
Good luck with it. I think I will watch this pack.

I know the stone need better tilling, I played with it a bit today, but I didn't like the result, so ill try again tomorrow and ill see where it goes.
Basically, it tends to be noticeable that the planks are "endless" -- there's no breaks in any of the "planks" that make up the texture. If you add some vertical lines in each "plank" it looks much nicer. But make sure you put the lines in different parts of the texture. Here's the basic idea (it's only a very basic texture, but it illustrates the idea well):
Notice how the vertical lines in it are all out of alignment? Try to do that without it being too regular - it makes it more realistic and helps it tile better. Also, I've applied a 1% Noise filter to make the graininess of the wood more realistic. That, and some quick fiddling with some brushing to try and get a wood grain look to it.
Also, your grass edge needs some more detail (it's a bit too plain). See what you can do :smile.gif:
Looking great so far ^^
EDIT: Just noticed this:
i take it you've improved the cobblestone. Nice work! However, make sure the stones have a "light source" - basically, light in one part, dark in another. This pattern of light and dark should be the same for all stones. It is, but it needs to be a bit more defined. I'd show you an example, but at the moment you can make better cobblestone than I can. I know the technique but can't apply it :sad.gif:
Just in case, I thought it would be nice to tell you I made a thread 1h and 30min after yours, wich has almost the same tittle (NamelessCraft). I'm sorry, that's search system's fault :tongue.gif:
Our texture packs are pretty different, so I hope you don't mind...

Thanks for the key, Stephen!

There are alot of texture packs with the same names, so it's ok,
Although i thought leaving the name the way he is, I think ill change it sometime.
One last suggestion before I go to sleep tonight...
The grass has two problems (no, make that three):
1. Not enough variation. it's a bit too simple and repetitive at the moment. Add a little bit of variation here and there, but keep in reasonably uniform so it still tiles well.
2. Not enough contrast! Add some darker greens and move away from the almost-neon-bright-green you've got as the dominant colour there. A little bit is useful, but too much will hurt someone's eyes :smile.gif: Make a deeper, richer shade of green the main colour and then use darker and lighter ones to make it look good. Of course, if you're doing it in grayscale/Black&white (as you should), you just need to work on contrasts - main colour should then be a medium-grey, with touches of lighter and darker grey all through. This'll stop it going neon-bright.
3. The edge is a bit simplistic. I think I mentioned that before, though ^^

Oh, and good luck with the planks again!
Even more work!
I will start to work on it whenever i feel like it :biggrin.gif:

Yeah, It's 32x, It's still a WIP, so ill probably change most of the things there to be more 32xish :smile.gif:

I'm looking for more original name, without craft at the end, I thought on a diffrent language word, maybe? Like חלק from hebrew.

I'm making a texture pack: (16x) Silent Night

Fixed stone sides,
Made glass:
Included redstone at the picture this time, and fixed shading problems at all ores (except diamond, cause I want it shiny :wink.gif:):
