I would like to create a 32x32 texture pack, but I am unsure as to where I should begin. I have a bit of experience altering 16x16 textures. If I need a specific picture-editing program, please specify. (I am aware that transparency support is necessary)

Well, first of all Paint.NET should be good enough for the pack. Anyways, just edit the terrain.png in paint.net by resizing it to 512x512. Just remember to choose the option nearest neighbor or else it will be really blurry. Good luck with it, if you need me to I can make you a file with everything all set up for you. I don't really care. :tongue.gif:
There is also a link to templates of different resolutions in the Texture Pack University. The URL is in my signature above my banner. Leave a comment there if it helps :biggrin.gif:.
