Haha I love this pack. Keeps the feel of minecraft, and is 1.8 too! It's been mentioned but the cake is weird... That's the only strange part about this. I somehow like the blue glowstone, as normally it is a boring yellow lantern.

alright... well, it looks like not many people like the cake, so i'll see what i can do to change it.

I have a good idea, make the grass all over the sides, like no dirt showing at all.
nah, it would make a bad effect when it's next to a dirt block. really chunky. i was planning on trying something with the grass sides, but anything i could think of was already done in another texture pack.

Just a question, did you use effects for most of these? Because it looks like you changed the brightness to low and used noise, if you didn't it looks very similar and you might want to change it, but it looks good.
I downloaded it and I like it :biggrin.gif:
The only things I didn't like though was the stone slab :\
Positives
The ore blocks look cool :biggrin.gif:
Glass
workbench and chest
And the lightstone looks pretty :3
This was just like 3 minutes of flying around in creative mod though e3e
Am I missing something here?
Because this is more or less the john smith texture pack with a few adjustments. So unless you are the creator of the john smith texture pack this is plagirism.
I created all of these textures by myself with Paint.NET. with only 16x16 textures to work with, eventually sometime or another one texture pack will look similar to another. Nothing from this was taken from other texture packs. I'll look up john's texture pack to see if it looks similar or not.
EDIT: Just looked up JohnSmith's texture pack. It looks nothing like mine. It looks more like an RPG pack, and it's 32x32.
@sugarcane What a coincidence, I just finished re-doing the stone slabs and just came back here to update it. They should now look, well, like actual stone slabs. The update should be available within a couple of minutes.
Feedback: I use the neither a lot for travel and the Blue Glow stone almost seems out of place, to my eyes.
Nice work. :cool.gif:
Inside the .zip, there's a terrain.png and an alt_terrain.png. If you want yellow glowstone, just delete the terrain.png and rename the alt_terrain.png to terrain.png. I figured it would feel out of place in some situations so I made it optional :wink.gif:

Updated, added a custom panorama for the main menu :3
@ThaC00n no, MC patcher isn't needed for mob textures, only higher resolution textures (32x, 64x, etc) but I've heard HD textures work ok with the 1.8 update.
updated, took out the custom panorama. i just realized how terrible of a job i did on it, ugh. if anyone can help me out with panoramas that'll be great. but until then i'll try to work on something.

Updated to v8! Completely re-did the wood textures. It now looks completely different than the old ones I had. Expect more updates to come, since there's still a couple things I'd like to change, but I don't have the time too atm.

one request tho change the grass to be a little darker that would be so much cooler and would flow nicely.
overall a great texture tho

Thanks, same here, but so far my favorite basic texture pack is still Faithful 32x32, but it requires the HD patcher :/ :smile.gif:
