Me and my friend are working on an ant-farm type of game, where you live in a sliver of a world similar to an ant farm. Since ant farms typically have the translucent gel as dirt, to allow the person to see all the way through, we need to design a texture pack that makes stone and dirt translucent, similar to ice.
Problem being, how do you make a partially transparent substance? Ice in the default texture pack doesn't seem very different than a light blue block. How can we make an object partially transparent, yet not completely like glass?
In Paint.Net, push the More tab on the color tablet an longes down in right corner it says Alpha-Channels,change that as how you want in and voila, its translucent as you called it xD
Its not called partial transparency, its called an alpha channel.
An alpha channel is the control for partial transparency. Regardless, partial transparency, or alpha, cannot be achieved in Minecraft without modding (and there are actually some problems even then).

Are you retarded? I mean, this combined with your nonsense "OMG IT'S A VIRUS" shitposting seems to make a compelling argument towards your mental handicap.
