Minecraft Community Texture Pack

This texture pack is the first community texture pack. A community texture pack is a texture pack that was created by the minecraft community. Each and every person is allowed to contribute, but only the best will be chosen. The texture pack, once finished will be a 32x32 HD texture pack. Each person is allowed to submit up to 5 (five) items/ blocks (both will be referred to as items from now on just for simplicity). Each item must be submitted in a seperate .png file with the specs as such:

Height: 32px
Width: 32px
Resolution: 95.00 (pixels/inch)

To submit your 5 (or less) contributions, add them as attachments and email them to [email protected]. Please model the texture pack after the image below, realistic, but with clean lines and realistic light.

So let me say this once more, in case you didn't understand previously. In each file, with the specs as afore mentioned, must be one block/item/ whatnot. Now, the rules change a little if you are doing skins. Instead of the specs being 32x32, you instead need to multiply the normal 16x16 specs by 2. I have started it all off with my 5 contributions, all the different materials of swords.

I'm sorry if this is rude, but the texture pack might not turn out so good, I mean its all different styles and themes, this'll be a big mish-mash of random textures that are good but too random.

Yea, i thought that too, which is why all the textures will be going through me. Hopefully I'll get enough that I can choose certain alike textures.

I think this is a great idea, although I can't contribute due to my lack of being able to draw a picture, texture, or anything at all in an aesthetically pleasing manor.

I still think this pack will be good if people start contributing, but I'm afraid I'm not good with 32x32. I'll bookmark this maybe and get it once its done.

Yea thanks, hopefully this'll get up and running and people will spread around and stuff... :tongue.gif: if anyone wants it to happen sooner they can use the banner

I don't have any skill to contribute anything myself, and... to my honest opinion, I'm not sure how it'll turn out xD Though, I'll keep an eye on it, as it's an interesting concept :tongue.gif: So, best of luck :smile.gif:

There is now a theme to the textures: realistic.
