What is the easy way to download texture packs without changing the bin folder and going into app data, because my friend did that once and all his saves got reset. So is there an easy way to download it without doing any heavy technical business? thanks
Well you could always start up minecraft, go in the Mod/ Texture pack option, open up the texture pack folder (should be on bottom left), then copy and paste any 16x texture packs you want into there. Then simply select them on the list!

GOOD DAMMIT YOU FAJKSBFDJAFB HJADSFLAFDAKLSDFB NOOB!! ASDKBALKJHW
Just kidding :happy.gif:
You need to hit start, then run, then type %appdata%, in there, search minecraft. folder, open it and go to the texturepacks folder, then, simply copy the texture pack zip to this folder, run minecraft, hit "Mods are texture packs", choose the pack and you're done!
If you want to make it simpler, just hit "Open texture pack folder" from the texture packs menu inside minecraft itself. :smile.gif:

Will this later method have any potential to ruin my saved worlds? Because i put ALOT if time into it, because it happened to my friend on his pc when he was trying to download a texture pack

First, when you start a new world you build something in it, BACK UP THE SAVES, I do it every week just to keep them safe incase of a massive failure, and no, it will not harm your saves, but do back them up.

No risk at all, just incase some stupid class file is fighting with some other class files (minecraft development stuff, don't know anything about it).
I always back up everything I do with minecraft, even the game itself! It's just to be sure.

I have no idea what that means lol, how do you back up?
open the minecraft browser, then click start, click mods/texturepacks, click open texture pack folder, then copy and paste your texture pack into the folder that pops up, look in the minecraft browser, click the texture pack and your done!

I have no idea how to access the minecraft. folder in Mac, so you need to ask someone else, but when you do get there, you just copy the saves folder into your desktop.
All you need to do is go to finder>home (your name)>library>application support>minecraft>texturepacks. You need to drag the texture pack you want (make sure its zipped) into the texturepacks folder

How is this possible? And is there a huge risk?
