The Premise

I have a challenge...

I would like everyone who has any graphic designing experience at all to attempt to make as good a texture pack as you can, in just an hours time.

If you decide to try it out, post your result here! If anyone does, I shall add their texture pack to this post. If a few people do it, I will do it too! Good Luck!

Rules

-- Use any texture dimensions above 8x8 you feel the most comfortable with.

-- Keep the textures appropriate.

-- Edit anything you like! Terrain, items, GUI!

-- Don't use anything from another texture pack, even if you made them!

-- When you're finished, I'd appreciate if you posted the download link along with a small image preview. By small, I mean something that I can easily put on the OP. 450x300, maybe?

I can't think of anything that's not common sense... but very well.

I think the rules you put are fine.. I might try this tomorrow, just expect it to a patterny pack. Not in detail. It's 1:29 AM here, so I feel no need to make textures. :tongue.gif:

Oh geezus. I struggled to make speedpak in 3 hours. Now you're asking 1? O.o

I spent like 4 days working on a texture pack once, it was a simple texture pack. T_T

I really suck at speed texturing.

Having a 1 hour limit is meant to test your abilities at making textures fast. Obviously you're not going to be doing a 128x128.

Ill take the challenge! Although I've never done a texture pack before therefore I am a complete noob!
BUT, when i wake up tomorrow (Too late at night now, i think i can make it :biggrin.gif:)

I was about to do one of these with friends.

Depending on the time, I might take a stab at it... I'm not so sure 1 hour is a good idea. I would definitely try to be involved if it was changed to around 3 hours- it provides time to make the textures unique (without a bunch of defaults floating around), but it's still restrictive enough to give a sense of urgency.

Jesus, thats the best I can do in an hour. i was able to get every texture done and no, i didnt just shrink the default :tongue.gif:
