I'm attempting to make my own texture pack (not necessarily to be released at any time, but it might be), and I can't find the textures and/or sprites for a lot of the items. The list of the items that I cannot find is long, so in short it's all the sprites and textures that aren't in the textures.png file.

Is there another file I'm missing? If so, where is it or can I get a link?

If you have any questions, be it a comprehensive list of the items, information I may have not provided, or anything about the texture pack (since you'll probably never see it or hear about it again), feel free to ask.

It's inside of the GUI folder. I can't remember what it's called, but it's either items or icons.

gui/items.png has all the items in it. The game makes a larger model based on the icon.
art/kz.png is the file for paintings

I just dug around the folders until I found what I needed. And Google. Google knows all.

*edit* Particle effects such as smoke are found in the particles.png file.

ok I think i can give you a hand

Go into you minecraft jar using 7zip or winrar or other programs that open .jar files

Once open click and drag the following onto your desktop

Armor, art, gui, item, misc, mob, terrain, tittle, terrain.png

then put in a different location (like your texture pack folder)

that should be everything you are missing
