There is a lack of Spelunky, even though the game fits in absolutely perfectly with Minecraft.
This is a texture pack made to bring the looks of Spelunky to Minecraft. Spelunky is a cave diving/treasure hunter/death sim game by Derek Yu.
Most textures have been redrawn from the original, which is why this is a 32x pack and not a 16x one. I think it's very nice. The terrain file is almost completely done. Some parts I don't like, and will be redone sometime.
Example of redrawn:
Included
- Terrain.png
- Alternates.png
- Modified Rain
- New Moon
- Most GUI Parts (Achievements section will come!)
- Most Particles
- New Signs and Arrows
- Made Steve the Dude. The hat looks horrible BTW.
Wood Planks, Torches, Wooden Door, Bed, and Bookcase
TNT, Furnace & Dispensers, Glass, Lever, Chest, and Workbench
Download
Current, v0.3 - Link Removed
Installation
You will need the HD Patcher, found Link Removed.
- Run the HD Patcher
- Drag Zip file to the texturepacks folder of .minecraft
- Select from the Textures Menu in Minecraft
Changelog v3:
- Added Basic GUI. Might add better looking one, but I kinda like it.
v2:
- Got rid of default crops
v1:
- Release!
Copyright
Spelunky is copyright Derek Yu/MossMouth games. This texture pack is made merely as a fan project. Unless otherwise stated, all textures and general assets belong to Derek Yu.
You are free to distribute this pack, as long as you give credit to me (Valas), and preferably link to the forum thread from which you downloaded this pack. All copyright notices must be included, so don't strip out the excess files.
Request
I'm rather abysmal at some things, so If you'd like to help me out, I could use some help on the art (Mostly on the 1x1 paintings). PM me for details.
So, I updated and fixed the crops. I don't like them much, so I'll fix that later, but I just didn't want to stick with the defaults. Also, the pile of bones lost its head.

My computer only has one gigabyte of ram, and its old so..

The previous link was bad, but now it's fixed. Those who just downloaded should do so again.
Added the player skin, and clouds, but they are slightly messed up. Use 'em anyway by changing _clouds.png to clouds.png in the environment folder.
