*DOWNLOAD AT BOTTOM OF POST*

I'm working on a texture pack at the moment and am need of feedback of how I'm doing in terms of details and how good each block looks. Any criticism would be nice :smile.gif:

I'm using JohnSmith's texture pack as a template, the water and animals in the screen shots are HIS, I didn't make them. His texture pack is HERE if you want to check it out. Its definitely one of the better texture packs.

I haven't completed all the blocks so far. Here are images of what blocks I've been working on:

PROBLEMS:

-CHESTS are WTF or are they?
-TILING problem (hoping no one would notice :dry.gif: ) lol
-I don't like the brown mushroom(forgot to include in screenshot :sad.gif: )
-Lapis block looks too much like diamond block

Yeah, I wanted to make it a pot and by the time I realised you can also put 2 chests together to make a bigger chest I had spent half an hour fiddling around trying to get it to look right lol.

Wow! Great for a first try! But, I would like closer looks at some blocks. I feel like some of them are smooth (no detail, just one color). Not saying they are only one color, but no other colors than the mains. Also the chest looks strange... Good luck with it! :biggrin.gif:

Edit: I just zoomed in and can see all the detail. I had a brain fart there, but whatever. But now I have new issue... A tiling one. Sorry. D:

okay think I might have fixed/nearly fixed the tiling problem :smile.gif:

I love the textures, but maybe you could change the colours of the lapis block and ore because they look too much like the diamond colour.

There's still a lot of JohnSmith's stuff in there, so you'll need to keep that in mind. I'll upload it somewhere and put the link in the main post if you don't mind 32x.

Hmmmmm... I like what you have done with it, but I have a question. What theme are you going for? Cartoony? Realistic? Anyways, you have improved greatly!

At the moment I'm not really going for a theme, just making the blocks look nice :tongue.gif:. Thanks :biggrin.gif:
