I made a bukkit server and it works fine on my computers but i have a friend who can't log in
on his own computer.
I was just wondering what you have to do to make an actuall server that everyone can get on.
One source i watches said i needed to go to a website and find what kind of rouder you have and click mincraft server and it tells you a certain ip thing or can i just go in cmd and type ipcofig i couldn't get it to work though.
You can host a server via port fowarding or hamachi, and the guy who's telling you to go to that website and find your router is telling you how to port forward. To keep this short, I won't tell you all the steps of port forwarding. But if you go to portforward.com and find your router, then scroll down and click on minecraft server, it will walk you through it. To find you router model, open cmd, type ipconfig, find your default gateway, type it into your search bar, and you should get to your router settings. If you need to enter a username/password, and you don't know what it is, it will probably be on your router. In your settings you will find your router model. The other way is to use a program called logmein, made by hamachi, which i don't recommend at all, because port forwarding is much simpler. Let me know if you run into more problems, need clarification, or if you want me to explain hamachi.

Yeah, I don't know why it's under texture packs.
