How do you edit the grasscolor.png or the foliagecolor.png correctly? I can't seem to match the grass in the terrain.png with the new grass color. Can anyone help solve this issue? Also, its not an issue with the terrain grass top, I checked.
Here is the terrain.png with the grass made black and white:
And here it is in game:
Well, unless your biome shading is going to be one solid color, it'll always be different.
But if you are going for a solid color, my best suggestion would be to use the eyedropper tool and take the colors of the grass in your screenshot, and use a color tint effect to get the sidegrass to all be around that color.
the darkness of the grey grass does effect the color from the grasscolor.png... also, this may or may not be accurate anymore.. and should be the other direction.. but here is a biome map
It has to be a special variant of gray, try to use ones from oryginal minecraft.
Tip: it is best to use a light variant of gray, it's easier to match top and sides then.
PS: the first sidegrass image(one on top) is suppost to have colours.
Wait, you want it black and white? If so just make the grasscolor.png and foliagecolor.png black and white and it should work.
See?
I think he wants to make it colored. Anyways, I have no idea how to edit it. I wish I did, because I know there is a way to make rainbow trees... On my world when I use Glimmar's Steampunk pack, some leaves are pink, and yellow, and green, and all these other colors on the same tree. Bad ass.
Also, sorry I couldn't help...
PS. the grass color picture thing is in the misc folder, if that is what you wanted to know.

No of course not, I want to match the grass side and the grass top so that they are the same color, but i think it has something to do with grasscolor.png

If I helped you or if you like something I made, press the WHITE arrow inside of a GREEN 'square' at the bottom right!
