Hello everyone! Jacob7770 and I have started on a texture pack together called KavPack (KayJav is our duo name [for youtube and such]). Its mainly for personal use, however we would like it if you were to download it and use it. But, it is still in testing and incomplete. We have been working on it for about a total of 5 hours (counting procrastinating). If you have TMI and would be kind enough to help us out, then leave a comment/reply below, and you would be given thanks. We hope this becomes a well used texture. Thanks!!
Jimmy Carr on the subject of beating your wife - "It's just so stupid, isn't it? Beating your wife. I mean, it's your wife. It's like keying your own car."
Hmmm... This looks decent so far, although i have some gripes...
The wood planks look far too much like bricks as the cobble does, and the stone needs major cleanup. Dirt looks nothing like dirt, and at first i thought it was netherrack or something. Lapiz and Redstone ore blocks also need to be in the same "rhythm" as the other ores, because right now they stand out a bit too much. The wools look horrible, perhaps if you could clean it up to make it a bit smoother it would look better. Then the mob spawner... Is fairly out of place... It looks like a target right now. Then, last but not least, mossy cobblestone looks ok, but i would get ir of the random black line going through the moss. It looks very out of place on the block.
I do like this pack though. the glass looks amazing, and the actually wood block looks nice. The ladder isn't too bad, and the cake looks really nice! Then the ores are easy to identify, yet also making them look nice at the same time. The torches also have this feel to them that makes me like them, I have no idea how to describe it though.
You two have made the beginning of a nice texture pack, although you need to make some changes before you can get there. I wish you luck on making the rest of this!
Also, if you would like any opinions, feel free to contact me. I would love to help you!

we wanted them to be different, beause all ored that drop one piece, we made with a big rock/gem, and with the lapis and redstone, they drop more than one, so we made several gems in it. We are fixing dirt, and we will attempt to fix up the wood. thanks for your opinion though!
Too much noise, not enough shading. I see this all the time...People just do outlines and fills without shading stuff properly, and then they add noise over it.

Ah, I see! So now disregard what i said about those, that's a nifty idea. :tongue.gif:
Edit: Oh, and the update made everything look a LOT better, only thing I can see that should be changed is the dirt under grass, it looks nearly black (Perhaps a day picture would help with the color?). Keep up the great work!
Actually, one thing you could do would be to make the planks a bit thinner, right now they do sort of look like bricks/sandstone, as someone stated previously.
