RESOLVED!! :biggrin.gif: that was exactly it, I just had to increase the allowed memory usage and it can run now. This pack puts it up just over 1GB used so that's all it needed.
I am having the same crash issue as well. I tried both the 128 and 256 versions with the same result. I made sure that Java was up to date and re-downloaded MC Patcher just in case it was bad. I even cleared out my .minecraft folder and started with a whole new .jar then it worked BEFORE I patched but of course I get corrupted textures, after using the latest MC Patcher HD Patch it crashes Minecraft... any help?

KDS Photo Realism 128 and other HD packs work fine... I like your textures way better though :sad.gif:

wenn du den neusten patcher genommen hast und der fehler nicht weg geht könnte es an java liegen

-enderei hinzugefügt (hatte ich übersehen, hat aber auch keiner gemerkt :-)
-kettenhemd rüstung eingefuegt
-4 neue schwerter (stein, eisen, gold, diamant)
-neues menü eingefügt (von dieluter) nochmal danke
-rahmen vom glowstone kleiner gemacht
-fehler der räder vom minecart behoben
-menü leicht verändert und fehlendes eingefügt
-neue creeper explosin
-farbe der font vom zaubertisch geändert

Umm... I honestly don't really know. I've never used bump maps. Basically you would create specular maps of the terrain.png, and the GLSL Shaders mod can render those ingame so you get 3d effects from 2d textures, and light reflections. Video:
(one of my favorite effects is the gold block at 3:10)
Here's a few pages that might help, if you want to try this. It would be a neat side project, even if it doesn't work out well.

I should note that I am doing this in the 256 resolution in case it wasn't obvious. Once it's done I *should* be able to downsize to 128 as well, but I'm not doing it all twice for 128. :smile.gif:
I am also for now not assembling the specular map. I have a really rough version that I uploaded, but I'm not even sure if it's in the right format for the GLSL mod.
Wow, specular was broken on my minecraft for some reason. Now that it works I see it's all screwy with the firty spec map I have on there. I'll work on that right away. :smile.gif:

I supppose it's not much of a problem though, since you can't normally see the transparent part because of the GUI.
