Not really sure if this topic should be here, or in Modding Discussions, but oh well...I'm wondering if I should continue working on this pack:
I'm aiming for it to be a simple, yet slightly abstract pack, but not stupidly simple like most of the recent texture packs this forum has been plagued with.
I'm mainly just doing this pack out of boredom, and if enough people like it, I'll try to finish it by next week.
Let me know what you think in the poll, or with a comment.
looks good but there are a lot of simple packs out there.
Yes, I know, but I'm trying to make a simple, cartoony pack that isn't stupidly simple like most of the simple packs out there. Kind of like Frenden's pack, which isn't extremely simple, but not too detailed.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm definitely going to finish this up.
@TheMirror: The tall grass is my favorite so far, and I'm probably going to do similar textures for tall grass support. It's going to be different plants for each stage of wild grass though, rather than just growing grass.
Seeing as you've done this much already, you'd be pulling a ME to give up already.
Don't follow in my footsteps.
(And I love the long grass, and I like the pine leaves. (And I wouldn't put it in modding discussions, we need a forum for 'Texture Discussion' or something.))
I don't comment on many 16x packs, and I also don't comment on very many simplistic packs... so this is almost a first for me. Actually, I don't really comment on many other packs because I'm conceited that way! Haha.
I really like what this pack has to offer so far. The logs really are a treat, and I love geometric art like such, so this pack is one I would actually start using! It's heading in a great direction, I can't wait to see what more you have to offer. (Like, I can't wait to see the stone, cobblestone, and planks.
Also, since you seem to be heading in a more geometric art style, I just have to recommend not having your ores as squares in the block. You see those in every other simple or clean pack out there, and I think you could make something more clever than that!
Yeah, I'll probably be checking back here often. Don't disappoint! :wink.gif:
Don't rush either. You claim that you'll be finished by next week, take your time PLEASE. I tried to rush and put textures together for my texture pack, and now I'm re-doing the majority of them because I didn't use any full potential. (I suppose that doesn't mean too much, but you get the moral.)
