If you don't have screenshots yet, don't make the thread with the download link yet. It's off-putting and the majority of visitors won't bother to download it. That being said, I did bother to download it and have a look. Your color choices are jarring in some cases and need to be a less saturated. Also, make sure your blocks tile - I looked at your cobble and it doesn't tile at all. Keep working though, I'm not trying to discourage you, you just need more practice.

Unfortunately you did discourage me, the problems you listed were legitimate and real, but due to the fact that the textures are often re used, like cobblestone makes it a tall order to change.
