So i have been making a texture pack recently x64 resolution and everything has been going well up to the
point of animating my custom lava texture.
I made the custom still texture and when I looked at the custom lava flowing texture from another pack of
the same resolution I cant see a difference on what they did. but, yet when I try to make the flowing
image it does not animate in game. instead every block that has lava is just my still image.
What I need is a detailed instruction on how to animate the lava or how I am supposed to put the lava texture
into the .png file so that it animates.
Any help is appreciated.

I cant figure out how to animate the lava/water textures.
I looked at that tutorial once before but I thought there was an easier way
to animate it. With that tutorial you have to move the image down 1 pixel as
many times as the resolution so in my case 64 different images then stack them
ontop of each other.
But the flowing png image I have from this other pack does not seem to do it that
way at all. in fact there is hardly a difference if any at all between the still image
and the flowing image on the texture pack im using as an example.

O.o that was the easiest way I have ever found to do it. You don't HAVE to do 64 tiles, you can do as many as you like, but the animation will be faster or slower depending on the tiles.

I see, well for now I guess thats what I will do.
But if anyone knows of an easier way to do it or a script for photoshop
that would be nice.
Thing is with MC animations, is that they run backwards from others (bottom up). Most animations are done in frames one after the other, MC is one long strip. So you kinda have to do it the way in the tutorial or it never looks right. It's not hard at all, just time consuming.

Indeed, I have no clue how to do a still animation though.
I kinda wish someone had a program that you could just put the still image in and give it the
paramters of the mc animated image and have it do the rest..

its a hard tutorial to find, so here you are.
