But you don't only have to find diamonds! Look for dungeons! Huge caves! Even other player's secret bases!
Check out these examples of just how well you can see caves and even hidden basements with phat lewts!
EDIT: Forgive me mods, I sadly missed the formatting guidelines! If any kind moderators would please change the title to include [1.7.3] And that it is a 16x16 pack I would be very greatful!
Your title is bull sir. The texture pack only works for ores that have at least one face exposed. Diamond ore is rarely found exposed in caves, your best bet for this to work for diamonds is near lava. Even then it is in the worst effing place and risk death and loss of diamonds. If you really need an Xray pack learn install the mod, its the same as installing a texture pack. You put the class files in the jar file, done.

Sir while I appreciate the enthusiasm to "correct" my title, This is the perfect option for the aspiring minecraft player who is inexperienced with using more complicated mods! My method is also completely 100% untrackable in minecraft's current unmodded state.
Glad you asked! The diamonds in this texture pack are a very bright blue across the entire face of the block. This makes it Incredibly easy to notice them! No diamonds will miss your keen eyes with this pack!

Thanx! Also, Good pack!!

Xray mod is untrackable as well. Unless the server displays how many diamonds you get in X ammount of time. It isn't complicated at all.
the thing is, is that since it's always dark in unexplored caves, making a colorful diamond is kinda redundant, since you can't even tell what a completely black ore looks like.
Other than that, it's basically the same as any other x-ray texturepack.
I don't personally use x-ray anything, but it's still good for a first/second texturepack.

Steel is my body, and fire is my blood
I have created over a thousand blades
Unknown to death, Nor known to life
Have withstood pain to create many weapons
Yet, those hands will never hold anything
So as I pray, Unlimited Blade Works

This is remedied by simply making different blocks have different opaque sections. You can tell which block is diamond by looking at which block has a certain segment as opaque as opposed to see through!
New topic of discussion for those using The pack: Would you prefer Gold Iron and Coal to simply be solid blocks of their respective color or remain with the lettering?
If you really wanted to make diamond and other things more visible, you should edit the blockore class, ShouldSideBeRendered() = true, release it as a mod, and therefore can see blocks that aren't touching air. I also wouldn't have an adfly download link, as it's only a few X's and holes in the original stuff.

As far as modding goes, its really an issue of how user-friendly it is. You can make a mod thats even better than that for x-ray purposes but the average kid wanting to see through walls isn't going to know how to even get to their minecraft.jar

You're free to have your opinion, friend! But I still maintain that my pack is the easiest and safest option!

I'll look into it! Ice as well, since many times hidden bases/dungeons are hidden underneath lakes of ice.

Nope! There is no way for a server to tell you are using my pack!
