So it's over. I can no longer work on this pack so don't expect future updates. The last version of this pack is intended for 1.8 snapshots; you can use it with previous versions but the enchanting table GUI will glitch (while still being usable).
Thanks everybody, it's been a difficult but fun journey!
Added Granite, Diorite and Andesite stone blocks, including smooth versions.
Added the Slime and Magma Cube mobs.
Added a trippy Ender Crystal block.
Updated the GUI (Enchanting Table and widgets).
Added a new Addendum pack: Bright Stone.
Tweaks:
Made Red Sand more grainy.
Made Stone Bricks stand out a little more.
Changed Slimeball and Magma Cream color accordingly to the new Slime skin.
Many little tweaks on Wolves' faces and shading.
Better Beacon block.
Brighter and more detailed beacon's beam.
MCpatcher only:
Added a dew alternative skins for Cows and Creepers.
Biomes o' Plenty mod only:
Added a few blocks: Anemone flowers, Bush, Damp Grass, Dead Grass, Desert Grass, Dried Dirt, Hard Dirt, Sand and Ice, Medium Grass, Mud, Mud Bricks, Short Grass, Stalactite and Stalagmite.

I Respect Mojang's choice, I can't wait to see what Microsoft do with Minecraft
Hey, I say your animated resoruse pack of this one, I LOVE it so much, the animation is spectalular! however, lighting effects are getting annoying at some moments is there some way to delete it or remove it? Say for example remove lighting effects? BUT I STILL WANNA KEEP THE ANIMATIONS
Sooo... I'm back. Kind of.
My life is still going nowhere good but at least a friend gave me an old laptop and a crappy mobile connection, so I resumed working on Pixel Reality. Yay?
I'll keep updating as soon and for as long as I can, that's all I can promise right now.

Yep. Open the .zip and delete the /lightmap folder inside /mcpatcher.

Glad to hear you are kind of back! Your pack is too good to just let fizzle out. Hopefully your real life stuff will turn around soon.

Thank you guys, here's a preview of what I'm working on right now i.e. support for Underground Biomes mod because, well, there's not much to do in preparation for 1.8 and frankly I still can't find the strength to work on dem awful horses. Also I love stone a lot (notice my avatar) and I can't play Minecraft without that mod.
There might or might not be a new very WIP lava texture.
I have a question: Where can I find the brighter stone fix?
Once downloaded my pack, open it with an archive manager and you'll see an "Addendum" folder. Inside it you'll find all my optional addon packs; move "PR Addendum - Bright Stone.zip" to your resource packs folder, start the game, and then move it on top of Pixel Reality from the resource packs menu.

Oh, thank you very much. I didn't realized the patches are already shipped with the pack itself!

GENERATION 28: When you see this put it in your signature and add 1 to the generation.
NB: this pack is actually compatible with 1.7.10, it's featured as 1.7.9 compatible just because Curse doesn't have checkboxes for snapshots and prereleases.
Added animated fire and lava. Friggin' finally. They're far from being perfect but animation is really not my cup of tea...
Now light furnaces are animated as well.
Updated the GUI for Realms and multiplayer servers.
Dropped the version number once and for all; who cares, right? I'm just using MC version compatibility from now on.
Tweaks:
Changed bucket of lava to reflect new lava look.
I found out by mere chance that particles now support partial transparency (MOJANG Y U NO CHANGELOG?) so I took advantage of that to make particles look more natural, especially effective on smoke and fireworks.
Mod support:
As a general rule, I will no longer support MCpatcher mods that are not compatible with Optifine unless they're very important for my pack.
The first victim is Random Mobs which I no longer support because Optifine ignores biomes when picking skins, and since they're all biome related...
Known caveats:
Sky textures work erratically on Optifine IME while they work perfectly on MCpatcher. This may cause the sun to look too small and not vivid enough, especially when the sky has a strong color (such as in deserts).
Previous caveats still apply.
As a side note, I'm almost finished working on Underground Biomes support, expect it to be in the next update.
Since a lot of people (including me) are still "stuck" on 1.6.4 because of mods not updating and/or performance issues I just uploaded a version of Pixel Reality compatible with it; basically if you're still using the old 1.6.x compatible PR you may want to use this instead to get the new fire and lava animations, and a bunch of other stuff I added since then.

Curse PremiumThe "new" (Since it was released a month ago or so) fire animation is pretty good. Keep the great work.
