I am making my first texturepack its not released yet so no download.
Here is a screen shot of everything I've done (ignore the glowstone i didnt texture it yet.)

here is after and with a texture for glowstone



I added the wool texture :biggrin.gif:



This texture pack is not in progress anymore i have given up on the idea and i have started a new texture pack.

But will it blend?

ores are a bit sloppy

Please don't make this another simple pack, that's the best tip you can get.

I think you need to re-do everything except the cobblestone/moss stone. I don't mean to be harsh, but you have to make the textures more different from default Minecraft.

:sad.gif: my texturepack is kind of like an upgraded version of default so people that dont rly use texturepacks can use mine XD

ya lol but i dont rly see this as a simplepack do you and btw we have enough simplepacks LOL

its a simple pack if it doesnt have enough shading.

I am using Gimp also about the ores i made them in 5:00 i know they suck im adding textures and fixing them right now :biggrin.gif:

Edit: just redid the coal and added a glowstone texture ill add some pics when i finish the ores

I disagree on the whole, "must be different from default", my favorite pack Coterie is very similar. It keeps the feel of the default pack whilst being different.

Anyways, yeah, the ores need to be worked on. Cobble looks nice and some of the other blocks need more shading.

EDIT: FINISHED THE ORES PUTTING THEM UP NOW :DDDDDD

Huge difference on the ores, but i personally think they take too much space on the block. The redstone ore looks best because if the lighter areas on the ore, you should apply that to each ore. Secondly, sand is too simple, add some depth or noise. Glowstone is looking good, but maybe you could make a new plank texture, as in not near the default. I know your goal is to give a different effect close to the default, but it's nicer to have a different plank block. Work on your library book details as well as stone. Add more noise to your stone, and add more shadows to the gold, diamond and iron blocks. Apart from those few things, this pack is turning out well!

ya im taking new names for this lol i have no clue :tongue.gif:

I just finished the iron door wood door and ladder texture but then gimp crashed and i lost it ;(
