Okay, so this is my first attempt at creating a texture pack. Actually, first attempt with anything generally close to spriting. I have two different textures I've made for bricks (the same problem for cobble and mossy cobble). Both of them don't look the greatest alone. However, when they are made into a wall, or a floor, they look AWESOME. So what is more important? I will upload pics upon request, but I'd prefer not to (to many of them would be needed). By the way, ignore the irrelevant comments, this topic originally asked a different question.
To give our children and future generations hope, we must destroy every child on Earth and never have any more. I have already started this misson, child numbers have been halved in my local district. Will you join the cause?

DO NOT WORRY ABOUT HOW THE BLOCKS LOOK BY THEMSELVES.
Do you ever see just one block of dirt, or one block of stone? No, you see mountains and caves. A lot of the best packs have textures which- by themselves-- may not look spectacular, but when you see them together in the world they look fantastic.

Well, I'm talking they look strange because of how the texture needs to be to match up. And they are manmade objects so they
aren't naturally spawned in large amounts.

Like I said for dirt and stone-- do people only use one brick, or do they build brick walls? The only place you might be able to get away with not having things tile well would be pumpkins, jukeboxes, tnt, etc. Things that aren't normally found in a big pile. For everything else, tiling is of the utmost importance. Bad tiling will ruin even the greatest artwork.

Retired StaffPictures?
Sure. Also, cobble is the same as the brick texture on the left, just different colors.
