I agree... This is ridiculous. I am about 1/3 through my terrain, barely touched the items. I fantasize about, once I am done, lots of people downloading it, and giving me positive opinions, and constructive opinions. I could spend my time on the computer working on the texture pack, etc. In realism, the most likely thing that will happen is I create a texture pack, and these lazy people steal my textures, get popular since they bump their thread a lot, and my thread is forgotten, and my artwork I spend months on, perfecting, is now "theirs"... I think I will just post mine on other forums.
I don't think immediately throwing ourselves overboard and abandoning this forum is the best solution at this point. The community here (98% of it) is very supportive and responsive, and a lot of traffic comes through here which allows our packs to be seen. We just need to make this place into what we need and want it to be.
This is OUR home. We shouldn't let some admins drive us out of it.

It's why I've backed up my thread in a text file. The community here is nice, if not a bit quirky, and I'd hate to see it become a ghost town. But I'm not personally going to keep my content up as long as this is in effect :\
FFS, Lilyo, we're trying to get the rules changed so that they don't restrain texture pack artists/mod artists/anyone else to the point of strangulation.
I actually do mean the Last Days revival (by Croco), Croco was/is away on holiday, and there's no way he could/can put up a disclaimer when he didn't/doesn't have internet access.
Just to let you all know, this thread has been brought to the moderators' attention, though it seems that currently, none of the moderators for the custom content sections are on.
My best advice for this thread would be to keep up a reasonable discussion, hopefully gaining many more yes's.
As steelfeathers said earlier, keep the "slamming" off the moderators, & on the rule(s) in question.
Opeth a moderator voted no. Clearly he is not worthy of a moderator, because he has no clue that the new terms conflict with actual legal rights.
Not slamming on the Moderators is okay with me, but when they vote NO that's screaming ass-kissing or ignorant behaviour.

Same here. Even if it isn't very popular, or only get a few downloads, at least those people will know that I'm the true creator and not whoever stole it. The only good thing is, if it's not very popular then hopefully no one will want to steal it (though given how easy it will be some lazy person might.)
In regards to the quotes above, its late and I misread the options, didn't catch the negative as they were badly worded.
Vote has been changed accordingly.
Also thanks for the nice comments!
Changed the wording so that it will hopefully be less confusing.
Improved posting. I suggest we put this in place of download links rather than removing our content entirely. technically, if we did, our threads could be removed.
We regret to inform our fans and followers that we are removing our work from this forum. The new policies instigated by the Admins of this forum are restrictive, burdensome and will destroy any and all of the creative talent of these forums. The new policies are not only unfair to the creators but also violate the very copyright laws that they are supposed to be upholding. By requiring that a thread have proof of copyright or be removed as not being copyrighted these policies directly contradict Berne Convention and World Intellectual Property Organization Copyright Treaty and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Both of which are accepted by not just the U.S but also by the U.N. and all it's participating countries. We will keep out content off these forums until these policies change. If you have any complaints please feel free to take them up with your moderators and admins

Down with the supreme monarchy! Wait, what are we trying to do again?
I'm thoroughly considering it.

Someone who has not posted on the forums or made a texture pack. Likely they didn't read what all this was about, either.

Retired StaffGuys, stop. No slamming mods OR people who vote no. Concentrate on building our case and getting more people involved to say yes.
NO ONE WILL TAKE US SERIOUSLY IF WE START FLAMING/HATING PEOPLE.
