Pretty considerate, nice <3 Though, I don't recall any games with a color blind mode =/
Most games don't have a color blind mode, that's true. so when i saw that there wasn't one in minecraft, i felt like i had to, and it helps out the community and anyone who is colorblind.
I'm red/green colorblind and I have to say... You're doing it wrong. At least it appears that way from your video. The key to communicating these things to colorblind people isn't to reduce the two colors they can't differentiate into two even more similar colors. In Minecraft, Colorblindness hasn't been too much a factor for me... except in growing wheat. Most every texturepack differentiates between almost mature, and fully mature wheat with a subtle (to me) transition between brown with a tinge of green, adn green with a tinge of brown. It's AWEFUL, and more often than not, I waste my wheat crops that way. Nothing else really is consequential, and having the colors there in natural form doesn't hurt the gamers any. I appreciate very much what you're trying to do with your valuable time in making these packs, but a greater service specifically to the problems associated with red/green colorblindness would be to tweak the wheat texture to having a more immediately recognizable color for being ready for harvest. When I first watched yoru video, I honestly thought this was a mean joke, because I could tell no difference between the default texturepack and this one. ON a closer watch, I was able to notice that the old colors truely were gone... and that now the red and green were even HARDER to distinguish. I hope you do not find this insulting, but your pack truely does more harm than good for red/green colorblind individuals such as myself.
Edit: Tested the pack out. I hate to say this to you, but this pack is a colorblind person's nightmare.... I say this because scanning the horizon gave me a rather intense headache.
12/13/2014 Updated the pack to 2.0
Pack is now updated to a Resource Pack
ISSUES/GLITCHES WITH 2.0 UPDATE
Birch and Pine leaves wont convert over to meet Colorblind standards.
Redstone particles wont convert over to meet Colorblind standards.
Sorry to say, but this pack is almost completely outmoded by my own Colorblind Shaders Pack. Where as this is a default recolor (which really shouldn't be allowed on the forum... but has somehow survived since 2k11), my shaders pack can color the player's view in real time regardless of their resource pack.
I guess the one advantage of this pack is that the items in the inventory show their proper coloration, which is something I can't do with shaders.
It's interesting to see I'm not the only person who had this concept, and that this one is from so long ago. Well done.
I love it when a person comes up with an idea not for themselves, but for others. Great job!
