For my world, I'm doing a generally medieval themed city, walled in and all, and was hoping to put in a texture pack that would update all of the textures to make them a bit more detailed and some of the crappy ones ( i.e. Cobblestone, Sandstone, etc. ) to look a bit better. A lot of the texture packs I find seem to be too themed and don't just update them as I wish. Anybody know of some decent generic ones I can use?

well do like wood and stone texture for midevil maybe grass and water but make sure you make it HD and reguler!

Try Misa's Realistic Pack, it's a nice detailed texture pack that makes cobble and sandstone look nice.
