Love this texture pack! My total support goes towards you! :biggrin.gif:
Thanks for the signature! :laugh.gif:
Thanks! If you don't mind, could you use the new support banner? The one you have is kind of outdated, and the new one just generally looks nicer.
Also, I've removed the animated vine and flower textures...They just looked really out of place in a lot of ways, so I felt as if removing them would be the best option. Made a few other changes as well:
- Tweaked the half-step texture, fixing the one side, as it was tinted brown for some reason.
- Fixed the water drop particle as well, and added custom lava drop coloring.
- Changed the swamp grass/foliage color again. It's now using vanilla Minecraft's coloring, but the water is still a murky brown. Looks pretty cool now IMO.
- Made the cat tail texture for ExtraBiomes based off of wheat, but still like cat tails. Looks a lot nicer IMO.
Nice pack, I really love the underwater overlay. Just a question, but the sky changes color when I'm under a tree. Is that intentional?
The sky/fog does get darker when under trees (Well, it gets darker depending on the light level, so the shade from trees causes it), however, there are biome-specific sky colors. For example, in the jungle, the sky is a dull green, with orange-ish fog.
- New giant mushroom textures. Tweaked the giant red mushroom texture a bit (Cleaner, less noise, etc.), and added a new giant brown mushroom texture based on the clay texture from Doku's RPG.
- Tweaked red mushrooms and yellow flowers a bit.
- Tweaked underwater colors a bit, swamps are more brown, jungles are more green, and rainforests/meadows (With ExtraBiomes) have crystal clear water like oceans.
- Changed the Iron Golems a bit. Only 2 of the alts have the large flowers now.
- Added new stone brick for Minecraft 1.2. It's sort of a decorative brick, and the colors match the stone brick, however, they don't tile together (They look nice together though).
- Added the two new sandstone-like textures. They don't seem to be used in-game yet, but I've added textures for them anyways.
- Added unique villagers. For instance, farmers have a hoe strapped to their rope belts, with a pouch of wheat seeds tied on it.
- New jukebox textures from Doku's RPG.
- New sandstone side texture.
- New rotten flesh texture. Using an older one that I had used before.
- New melon slice/glistering melon texture. Also older ones I've used before.
- Tweaked Ghast Tear outline.
- Tweaked bow charging animation to be more "realistic" by the way you hold the bow (Arrow on the other side of the bow).
- Made cooked porkchops lighter to match the default Minecraft textures.
- Removed boar and duck alts from pigs/chickens. You can find the boar and duck textures in the mocreatures folder if you'd like to rename and use them.
- Made purple enderman the default.
Thanks! It turned out pretty nice IMO as well, and it definitely adds a lot to environments, making them feel more alive.
Also, made a few updates today:
- New decorative stone brick, again. It's basically a combination of the one I had, and the regular stone brick. It tiles with the other 3 stone bricks as well, but still keeps its decorative feel.
- Tweaked the mushroom stem and spore texture. Bit less saturated, and more brown now.
- Tweaked the one sandstone texture (The tornado looking one). It's not used in game yet, but I figured I'd get it looking nice for when it is.
Download is in the first post. I'm using dropbox now, so I don't have to reupload it a million times. The terrain/item images in the first post are also on dropbox, and whenever I change something on them, it'll show the change instantly, along with the updated pack.
Can you change the glowstone? I don't really like the one that you currently have. If not then that's fine, nonetheless very nice texture pack.
Sorry, but I don't plan on changing it.
Also, I've made some minor updates:
- Added support for the Experium mod
- Reverted back to an old vine texture. Looks nice in all biomes now (It was a bit too bright in jungles before).
- Fixed some out-of-place pixels on the leaf textures. There was a white/green pixel on the oak/pine leaves, which was probably an accident back when tombones was working on the original GeruDoku.
- Added custom nether fog and end sky/fog colors.
- Added custom colors for the experience level text and boss health text (Matches the bars)
Sadly, dustyshouri has decided to disallow anyone from using his/her textures, and since GeruDoku a lot of them (Items, mobs, some terrain, etc.), I'm going to have to respect dusty's decision and discontinue my pack.
There's no way I'd be able to continue it without such crucial textures, so I'm just going to continue it personally for myself. That means all downloads will be removed, and I will not send it through PMs either.
Thanks to those who used my texture pack and supported it!
I no longer allow the free use of any content within this pack, with or without permission. I have allowed the rights to use my graphics in the past but I have since changed my stance on that. If you had once asked for permission and I have allowed it that decision persists, but any further requests(as of March 2012) will be denied.
Doesn't the last sentence mean you can continue using his textures, since you asked him earlier than March 2012?
EDIT: Awww i thought that you asked permission to use the textures. Do you know any similar texturepacks that are allowed?
Welp, goodbye Gerudoku. You were the best texture pack ever and brought such nostalgia from back in the day... Thank you for the remix pack, it's a shame it has to go...
