BTW, I've been having second thoughts on doing mod support, and I was wondering what mod I should do textures for first, if I do. I personally wanted to do the Aether, but there are soooo many textures I'd have to do. :tongue.gif:

As much as I hate to agree with the others...We have tons of remixes -every- day. However, if you designed the textures that -are- new in the pack, (such as the ender portal, cauldron, and melon vine) then I'm genuinely impressed and encourage you to continue.
However, if those were the only new textures you designed..I recommend combining your textures with me and jade. We've combined our textures together into the same customizer to avoid the need for "cut and paste" remixes.
P.s. I this message isn't meant to sound mean or rude, we just see tons of doku remixes all the time.
Because that's how I want it. It fits nicely IMO, and it's a nice change from the typical purple or brown.

@Tyken: The whole reason I started my fan update was because I didn't like other ones, including yours (No offense, I just don't like a lot of the terrain textures you use, as they don't fit the GeruDoku theme IMO). However, you've at least put a lot of effort into yours.
Most GeruDoku fan updates don't have nearly any effort put into them, and while I don't want to name names, I'm sure you've seen them. I've put quite a lot of time into my fan update to make things look nice, even if some textures are from other packs (With permission/credit of course) like the End portal frame from Dusty's textures, or vine from JohnSmith.
My update has been around for quite a while, and it's the most unique out of any IMO. I don't use Dusty's cactus and wheat like everyone else, or the solid ore blocks from the original GeruDoku, etc. Mine is sort of a blend between GeruDoku and Doku's RPG (Hence the RPG at the end of my pack's name), rather than a straight continuation of GeruDoku.
I wouldn't mind partnering with others, but my pack isn't going anywhere any time soon. In the mean time, feel free to use any textures from it, granted you give proper permissions for textures that aren't mine (There's a credit list in the opening post). That applies to anyone, BTW.
I completely understand, its why I put all the alternate textures into the customizer. However, as long as you keep working on this one then you have my full support. Like we both mentioned, most remixes have little to no effort in them at all but you have a lot of promise.
As for partnering up, me and Jademalo combined our packs together on the customizer but decided to keep our own threads as an "official" version of each. If you're interested, send me a message.

- Added palm tree log (I guess that's what it is)
- Removed custom lightmaps (They were just annoying IMO)
- Updated custom fog/sky colors for the jungle biome (I'm just going to replace it when Misa updates hers).
- Added unique biome shading for the jungle biome. Other biomes are still the same, but the jungle biome is now a yellow-green color. :biggrin.gif:
I basically just made them like the default, but with the style and color of the rest of the pack of course. There's a screenshot in the opening post if you want to see them, along with the terrain.png
- Added tiny flowers to the jungle leaves. There's a version without them in the terrain.png next to the alternate mycelium.
- Tweaked the Experience Bar a bit. Looks a lot nicer now.
- Added dragon/boss health bar. I didn't even know about this until I checked out the End for the first time today (Well, I've been to it before, but never really payed much attention).
- Added biome colored water for jungle and swamp biomes. Jungles have a greenish water, and swamps have a faded purple as seen in the opening post.
- Updated autumn biome coloring and flowers for the [finally] updated Seasons mod. Kudos to RAWRMaD for updating this amazing mod!
Nice. I like how it keeps the nice blocky look of textures, making it look like a more enhanced (much more endhanced) version of the original minecraft textures. (the blockyness, not the look of the items and blocks)
- New, animated enchantment table! Sort of an edit of the old one, but much better.
- Added redstonecolor.png. Now, the redstone coloring/fading is like it was back in the good ol' days of Minecraft. No transitions, so you know exactly where/when the circuit is on, or off.
- Tweaked the jungle leaves/wood a bit, made jungle leaves without tiny flowers the main texture again.
- New map background, as well as custom map colors!
- Custom lightmap tweaking the dusk and dawn coloring
I've been thinking about adding this to the Minecraft Customizer site now that it's back up and running again. Thing is, I only have a few alternate textures that I could add. I could always make more, but IDK.
- New lava. Custom flowing/still lava that matches the one seen in terrain.png
- New Magma Cube texture
- Tweaked mossy cobblestone. I just realized that the actual cobblestone in the mossy cobblestone texture is darker than regular cobblestone, so I made it match the regular cobblestone, and it tiles a lot nicer. The original, darker mossy cobblestone is still available as an alt on the terrain.png though.
- Tweaked sky/fog/water colors. The mushroom biome now has sky/fog colors (They're pretty trippy, man. :tongue.gif:), and the water for jungles/swamps was altered a tiny bit.
i like this pack, it feels nostalgic and new all at the same time. i remember when the yogscast used to use gerudoku in their shadow of israphel series...

Working on an update that I'm hoping to have out by Thursday, in time for the new weekly snapshot:
- Nicer creative mode GUI. Improved the slider, and added a back to it.
- Polished the chest textures. Fixed up outlines, shading, and tiling for them.
- New fern texture, courtesy of The Baconizer. He offered to make a new one, but I'm not sure if it'll be done by then. If not, I'll upload it once he's done. :biggrin.gif:
- Completed Aether textures. I got all the blocks done earlier today, but I have yet to start on the items. HOPEFULLY I'll finish it, but if my laziness takes over like usual, I won't. :tongue.gif:
- TooManyItems GUI to match the rest of the GUI.
- Added the old lava back. The one I made was kind of crappy, so I just changed it back.
- New diamond and gold tools. Found them while looking through this old customizer for GeruDoku.
- Home furnishing paintings from lithiumsound and his awesome pack, SummerFields! I got permission from him to use a few home furnishing paintings (Specifically the pots/pans, cutlery, tools, and upward pipe), so expect those as well.
- Some other minor tweaks and changes I made since the last update, but can't remember.
Sorry for the big wall of text...I was editing this over time as I made updates, like usual.
If you guys have any suggestions for mods you'd like to see supported, I might be interested in doing textures for them. I've been thinking about doing the current big 3 right now (RedPower, BC, and IC2), so I'll probably just go ahead and do those if no one else wants any other mods textured.
