I don't know if this Texture Pack requires you to use the Custom Colours mod from MC Patcher or if this is normal but the Ice Plains biome has a dark green/brownish colour which doesn't really seem to fit to an icy biome.
Here's a screenshot:
-snip-
Yes, it's supposed to be that color, as the grass is supposed to be "dead." I mean, it doesn't exactly make sense, since tall grass, flowers, and trees grow in the ice plains, but if it was up to me, they wouldn't.
Also, it does require custom colors, but that doesn't have anything to do with the color of the ice plains.
Why is this not getting more attention ? I'm no texture pack expert, but I can definetely see efforts have been put into this !
I really enjoy what you've done with GeruDoku. Definetely looking forward to see what miracles you'll do with the Origins variant.
Keep up the good work, really enjoy what you've done so far.
Well, most of the other popular GeruDoku continuations were around for a while before mine was, so it gave them more time to "claim their spots."
Also, I've made some updates to the pack:
- Remade the giant mushroom stem texture
- Remade pumpkin blur overlay. The one I was using was pretty rough-looking, and I never really noticed it much, as I never used the pumpkin helmet thing that often.
- Tweaked swamp colors a bit, yet again
- Added new placeholders for Adventure Mode Control Block. One sort of matches the vanilla MC texture for it (Although it might not be final from the screenshot jeb posted a while back), and the other is a redstone block.
- Added Command Block texture
- Added Beacon texture
- Added Beacon GUI
- Change zombie textures for the villager zombie. This will conflict with 1.3.1 however, as the texture is a different size.
- Tweaked enchanting table-bottom texture
2) could you make a different version where there isn't the incompatibility issue for the zombies because it is breaking my immersion.
1) I don't run the customizer, so I can't.
2) Here's the zombie files without the zombie villager change: http://www.mediafire...qwtm6zwcjvmqgfy. Just add the /mob/ folder to GeruDokuRPG.zip (Or whatever edition you're using).
Also, I've added the new villager particles. Thanks for the heads up, GoncaloCC!

Can you at least contact the people who update the texture pack and ask them to, because they don't watch the comments asking them to update on the customizer website.

The customizer is a mix of 3 packs. It was originally Jadoku and TyDoku, and Tyken132 asked if I wanted to have my texture pack added to it. So, I said yes...
It's not really officially supported, as I don't even think Jademalo knew about it. I just removed the link to the customizer, cause I don't think either of them plan on updating it any time soon.
To celebrate, I've added a new version of the pack called GeruDokuRPG Origins!

Hey, how about that! You've lasted twice as long as I did. Congratulations are in order.
There seem to be a few dozen variations/continuations of "my" old pack floating around now, but at a glance, I like the look of this one. The Origins edition will be a nice nostalgia trip, thought I'm agreeing with most of the editorial decisions you've made in the interim. There's a much bigger pool of talented pixel work to draw from these days, and your substitutions for some of my hack jobs & ill-advised rips are mostly welcome changes. I miss those chunky-ass ore blocks, but it's probably for the best. You get the driving vision behind GERUDOKU- preserving the basic look & pallet of standard Minecraft, but with the extra detail that 32x32 affords and a pleasant oldschool RPG aesthetic blended seamlessly throughout. Or something.
Whenever I get around to modding my install back into working order again (still a huge pain in the ass, I see) I'll try this on along with several of the other versions. Probably none of them will satisfy me completely. That's what photoshop is for. Still, you have no idea how relieved I am that there's somebody(s) else updating this monstrosity now. You're all saints for keeping the dream alive.

P.S. - i still hate lightstone
I'm glad to see that you're still around, I must ask though do you plan on updating Gerudoku at somepoint?

That means a lot coming from you, and I'm glad you like it.

hah, not likely. I turned this pack over to the community, and they've taken good care of it. also I'm fiendishly lazy.
I hope the folks maintaining other versions of gerudoku don't feel snubbed by my post, I just didn't feel like commenting in more than one thread. you are all my precious, precious childrens.
Are the custom skybox elements an mcpatcher thing? I'm using Optifine, so that probably has something to do with them not showing up for me. Any way I can apply them manually?

Hey, glad to see your still around! You may wanna check out the rpg texture thread (link on my sig banner) i believe most of the gerudoku revival pack owners subscribe there and post from time to time, also handy if you do end up doing any texture work and want a general place to post it.
- Added flower pot, item frame, potato, and carrot terrain textures
- Added flower pot, item frame, empty map, potato, baked potato, poisoned potato, carrot, and golden carrot item textures.
- Changed leather armor to greyscale.
- Added greyscale wolf collar.
- Readded old jungle log and cocoa bean terrain textures.
I'm really excited for the new potato and carrot crops. Farming will actually be fun now.
Also, I've added a download link for GeruDokuRPG for 1.3.2 in the opening post. I know that not a lot of people use the snapshots (I myself use them, which is why I always update the pack for them), so I figured I'll just have a separate download for the official updates.

Thanks, I'd lost the link to that. Glad texture folks are still working together
Yea they are, its the "better skys" option in MCPatcher. If you want it with optifine just add optifine to the mods MCPatcher is going to install (theres a little + symbol in mcpatcher) And make sure everything except your optifine zip and better skys option is disabled then patch. worked for me hope it works for you.
Thanks, it turned out I just had the install order wrong. To get everything working correctly, Optifine needs to be second to last on the list of mods in MCpatcher, and Betterskies needs to be last on the list. This ensures the correct classes and stuff get overwritten, I guess. Everything looks 100x better now :"D
