Mycelium isn't purple to begin with. It's white in real life. But this is a video game, and I can do it however I like.
EDIT: Made some changes to the pack:
- Decided to edit the mycelium, but for a more stringy texture. Less saturated, no flowers.
- Tweaked the wood planks for the jungle log. Rotated them to match the style of the jungle log, and desaturated them a tiny bit. Looks really cool for an oriental-themed house.
- Made birch planks a bit less saturated, and brighter.
- New redstone lamps, based off of the diamond ore block from Doku's RPG.
- New stone slabs from Doku's RPG.
- Changed the yellow flower a bit too. More saturated, but not by a lot. Still looks great, and it's more recognizable as a yellow flower now.
Thanks for the support! Made a few more updates since yesterday as well:
- New hatch texture. More of a wooden frame around it.
- Redid the new planks from 1.2.4. Pine planks are nailed boards, birch planks are sort of like "vent" boards. Hard to explain, but some houses have them on the side of the house below the roof. Jungle planks are vertical, seamless planks that don't "connect."
- Tweaked the iron bar texture a bit.
- Tweaked cracked stone brick. More cracks that are more visible towards the center.
- Tweaked side-mycelium texture a bit, for less noticeable tiling.
Hey, I figured out a way to add a sort of sunrise/sunset kind of effect that is in some other texuture packs (like SummerFields & JohnSmith). It's incredibly simple to do, and here's a picture of a sunrise.
To make it easy, I've created a ZIP that you can drag into the Texturepack. Simply overwrite the old and it'll all work fine.
I've been thinking about doing that, but was never able to really get it looking good. I've tweaked your lightmap a bit, for more vibrant sunset/sunrise colors, and a more purple nighttime color. Download has been updated with it.

It needs some work... this it what it looks like at Midnight (no where near close to sunrise).
- New version of the pack: GeruDokuRPG Classic! No biome coloring at all (Grass/foliage/water/sky/fog/etc.), no animated textures, no randomobs, and grass blocks and leaves have tiny flowers reminiscent of the version of Doku's RPG that had them.
- Added map icon textures.
- Tweaked lightmap. Looks really good now IMO.
- Tweaked diamond item texture. More saturated to match tools/ore.
- Re-added the old vine texture. Jungle vine one is still available in terrain.png within the other Wild Grass placeholders (Really wish that mod would get updated BTW).
- Tweaked brewing stand base again.
- Tweaked the map background texture. Made it look like the map was folded (Inspiration from Wayukian Pack).
- Desaturated the stick textures and wood tools a bit to match the regular plank texture.
- Changed brewing GUI a bit. Remove the lines going from the top slot to the 3 potion bottle slots. Looks cleaner and less cluttered.
- Made the smooth sandstone block a bit more smooth.
Lighting looks much better now! One of the best I've seen. Although... it doesn't seem to work if you use Optifine. No idea why, but that custom lighting like that won't register with Optifine and it'll just stay normal. MC Patcher works perfectly fine however.
The creator of OptiFine must not have added that to his Custom Colors features then.
Yeah unfortunately. Not a big deal for me, but you should put that as a heads up for other players who use it. Also, have you planned to add animated items? I know in JohnSmith it has an animated torch, glowstone and a furnace. Just curious.
I've thought about it, and toyed around with some other animated textures in the past, but IDK. If I ever do anymore animated textures, it'll probably be glistening diamond/gold ore, and maybe a flickering light for the jack o' lantern.
I know they're the best, but why does everyone have to use JohnSmith's vines?
Who's everyone? I've had these in my pack since he added them to his, with proper permissions and credit of course. I prefer ivy over actual vines, but if you don't like it, there's a separate vine texture I did in altterrain.png that you can swap for JohnSmith's vine.
Also, I've decided to remove the custom lightmap. I couldn't get shadows to look good without either being too dark, or too light, and during rain, it made the terrain yellowish. I think it'd just be better with proper lighting than colored lighting.
- Redid the decorative sandstone blocks.
- Decorative wood to match each log.

Awesome texture pack btw.
My wip 32x texture pack.

Sure your brightness isn't up all the way?
