Speaking of things I don't see enough of, Steelfeathers is the only pack-maker I've seen do vines for mossy cobble. I'd like to see more of that.
I had vines for mossy cobble once. I thought it'd be really cool but it didn't float over too well. I think a big problem that arises is that it makes mossy stone stand out against normal cobblestone, and a lot of people like to mix mossy/cobble when they build stuff.
Also, one thing to take into consideration is that the Adventure update will include vines.
I was actually thinking about that last night (Vines on mossy cobblestone) when reworking the wild grass vines for my gerudoku update.
Also:
I wanted to make the wood planks sort of worn and old, but still nice looking, and I think I pulled it off well. I also touched up on the logs and stone, and they look a lot nicer IMO. My pack is going to be very "natural" and "outdoorsy," and have sort of a "swampy" theme to it.
Okay, these are my first real attempts at making textures. I know the smoothstone is blue, I haven't decided if I like it that way or not. Please give me some feedback, if they're crap tell me they're crap.

Thanks. My intention was to be reminiscent of old video games, and I used a lot of different textures from Spriter's Resource to make the textures I'm working on. I changed the cobble so much from its source that it's not even recognizable; that's my goal for all the textures I'm working on.

I recommend not using textures from TSR directly unless their licenses state otherwise. Like all artwork, they have been drawn by somebody, but they will usually contain a license on the sprite sheet. Make sure you check that first.
That's why I'm not using it directly, but very, very, very indirectly. I'm using their images as a starting point, then changing them so much it becomes original and a completely different texture. I think the phrase is "sea change," but I call it grandaxing. "This is my grandfather's axe. My father replaced the handle, and I replaced the head." It's not really the same axe if it doesn't have any of the same parts, does it?
And it's not the same texture if I replaced all the parts with my own. That's the theory I'm working with. Any texture with enough similarity to the original to be identifiable is not going to be used. It's important to me that the whole of the texture is my own.
Like I said, I'm not going to make one of those texture packs whose advertising gimmick is that it's all textures from Game X. I like some of those packs, and use one or two on occasion, but these are going to be original textures. Just original textures which start out as someone else's. Does that make sense?

The dirt is awesome. though you have a lighten border around the right-hand and bottom of the block that causes subtle tiling issues. The stone is odd, but I think it would grow on me

Yeah i'm aware of the part of the dirt with too much light color in it that throws off the tiling
And the stone is really odd but it's unique and has a good feel to it
Now that I'm looking at it again, the stone has a small tiling issue in that you can tell where the border between textures is, in a way I think you were trying to avoid.

Yeah I tried fixing that repeatedly, I guess I'll have to have another go at it, at least when I'm done being lazy and goofing off (like right now)
I have decided to try my hand at 16x. I may release a pack when I get the terrain done. It depends on how this goes. 16x is way different from 128x. Let me know what you guys think of these cobble textures.

Curse PremiumIt also makes for an easy texture to apply ores too with all the "crevices" in it
