Wait, what the Satan-hell are you talking about?
As an effort to inflate the community spirit within the Minecraft texture pack forum, Dustyboozer and I are starting a thread where we (and you) can post unused and completely original digital photographs or drawn images of interesting and arousing textures that are free to use and edit 100% by any and all texture pack artists. We also want to see you texture-heads posting some interesting photos and drawn textures here too. Trees, bricks, various stones... Hell, take and post a picture of your grandpa's shiny, liver spotted scalp! WE DON'T CARE! Just make it awesome, appropriate, and texturific.
For posters to consider:
Photos should be original. An explanation why is accompanied by a firm, justified ball-punch
Photos should be in focus and decent in quality. See our photos for examples.
You will be credited for your submission with a link to your profile.
If you are submitting a drawn texture, it must be 100% original. NO REMIX OR EDITED TEXTURES.
For downloaders to consider:
By using these textures you are agreeing to give proper credit to the original photographer if you are to re-post them as part of a texture pack in this forum. Proper credit means mentioning their name and posting links to their profile and/or current work.
How it will be organized:
Photos posted will be placed into the original post (this post) in a spoiler labeled "wood", "cobblestone", and etc under the "Original Digital Texture Photographs" section. It will also be including the original photographer's name for credit and a link to their profile (or current texture pack project if requested).
Drawn textures will be placed into the original post in a spoiler under the "Original Digital Texture Art" section. Credit and links also given.
Original Digital Texture Photographs
Be sure to use spoilers when replying with a submission. If you don't know how to use spoilers, use the drop down menu where it says "other styles" and choose "spoiler" when replying with a picture submission and put your IMG code with the URL there.
If you can't figure it out at all, just post the link to your picture without using the image code so you don't blow up the thread with big, fat pictures.
Does it have to be irl pictures or can it be unused textures I have made?
Well, I suppose if you're willing to submit your textures knowing that they are to be open to the public then yeah, yeah you can add drawn texture as well. I will be editing the original post to accommodate for this new idea.
I have a bunch of unused or discontinued 128x and other format textures, Can I add them to a single .png and share it here? :smile.gif:
Sure, broski. You can do that or send the PNG to my email and I can sort them out.
Your call, sir. Whatever's easier for you. Oh, and thank you for your submissions. We've got a lot of extras coming too.
Compilation of 128x and 256x created textures by me (Digital Texture Art), these were created for Bumpmaft Xtreme (Never Released) and some are spare textures that never made it into any of my packs:
Very cool, very awesome. However, when I attempted to chop it up and post the textures individually, I noticed something funny.
The resolution of the PNG itself doesn't seem high enough. It's a 798x PNG total which isn't large enough if those are supposed to be 256x textures.
So there's that problem, along with this:
It seems in this picture I downloaded, some of your textures are bleeding into adjacent textures.
You'll also notice that the cobblestone I highlighted is only 160 x 160 (if you look in the bottom left and see next to "Bounding Rectangle Seize").
This is probably just an error occurring somewhere between you uploading it and me downloading it. Any idea how to fix it?
Wherever you uploaded it might have resized the image. That's my guess.
Well, I found the camera, but now I've misplaced the charger. I seem to only ever know the location of one of them at a time.
Well while you wait for the charger to magically conjure itself into your face, art us up some art stuff! We also accept drawn art stuff! Art stuff! Aaggh!
Translation: If you can't find your charger, you can whip up some drawn textures and submit those instead.
Here is some stuff for the thread.
These are all old textures or ones I didn't use so people are welcome to them. Some have a couple of tiling issues as I never bothered to fix them.

This. I get bored and make textures, but not full packs. :3
I'm making a texture pack: (16x) Silent Night

Retired StaffVery, very nice. You don't often see a multi-colored cobble that had the potential to tile so well. Great submission! High five pizza party!
Very nice, Aageon. Added to the digital art section.
You find that camera sir, and you take pictures like you've never taken them before!
Sure, broski. You can do that or send the PNG to my email and I can sort them out.
