I thought I would throw up some previews of the pack I'm slowly working on that is meant to replace this one in the future. The theme of this pack is a mix of that same 'easy to see important ****' theme, as well as a 'fairy tale/fantasy/rpg' like theme I'm trying to stick to. It's also a bit cleaner in general. It's meant to be a light-hearted pack with hints of dark n' dreary to work with the 'story'. Also, it's going to involve dragons. Because, uh.. dragons.
In this image: New Cobble, New Pumpkins (lit, obviously.)
In this image: New Cobble, New Planks, New Wood, New Leaves, New Torches and some topgrass that you can't even see. Environment looks 'dreary' because it's near a winter biome.
You've already seen the ore, but here, see it again. Also, less-flat dirt and even though you can't see it, I tweaked the sand to be a wee bit less 'grainy'.
I definitely prefer this to Simply Organic simply because it's a cleaner, more thought out piece of work.
Edit: there's a strong highlight on the wood that has been fixed since I took that screenshot, btw :tongue.gif:

I LOVE the new dirt/ sand and I will be looking forward to the "reincarnation" (so to speak) of this pack. :biggrin.gif:
Yeah, I figured it just doesn't hurt to keep it up. After I took it down, I realized I wasn't really wanting to work on it anymore, so I was just going to let it fall into oblivion. That was until it started getting comments, of course haha. Oh well!
And thank you! I thought about your mentioning the sand, and gave it a little tweak. Still suits what I like, but should look a lot nicer in general, methinks.
I'll use this moment to also post a teaser of the skins I'll be offering :tongue.gif: They're very simple, of course; just an optional bit of funsies to help tell a story.

On a side note, I broke 500 DLs yesterday, and now we're at 630+. Woah.
I tried out the 64x version today, and boy it does look quite different. Not bad different, just different-different. XD I think I am going to stick with the 32x version.
Despite being based on similar concepts, they do end up looking pretty dramatically different, lol. I prefer the 32x version as well, myself. :smile.gif:
Also, I've decided that this pack I'm working on, at least for now, will remain a private pack. I can tell I just wont have the free time to do this sort of thing for quite a while.
On a positive note, these packs collectively are almost at 900 downloads. Honestly, that's far more than I ever expected it
I found this thread again to comment how much I love the 64x! But then my heart dropped when you said you were going to stop updating it :sad.gif: The only thing i didnt like about the 64x was the loading bar when you broke things, and the sand/sand stone. I ended up just changing them with ovo's rustic 64x. But, what i came here to comment was to ask you to update for 1.8 when it comes out :smile.gif: You're a very skilled artist and i love your work with this pack.
